Special functions
Dialling mode
The telephone can be operated in new, digital exchanges (TONE/DTMF) as well as
analogue exchanges (PULSE). The dialling mode is controlled via the menu. Refer to
Page 180 for the sequence of menu option selections.
Alarm clock
This function can be used so that the telephone (base station) wakes or alerts you at a
certain time. Refer to Page 181 for the sequence of menu option selections.
Caller identification (CLIP)
If the CLIP function is available for your telephone system (CLIP = Calling Line Identifi-
cation Presentation), the number of the caller appears in the display when a call is re-
ceived − as long as callers have agreed to transmission of their phone number.

Incoming calls can still be taken in the normal way even when the key lock
function is activated.
The caller number display (CLIP) and display of date and time are optional
services offered by your telephone network provider. Contact them for any
further information.
If you do not take a call received, the information remains in the display for
approx. 20 seconds before the current time and date reappear.
