Operating
1. Remove the blade protection and insert the battery into the machine. Do not
apply force when inserting the battery. Iserting can be achieveed easily and
without resistance. The battery fits only in one position into the machine.
The battery must be inserted completely until the battery locking hooks (8) on
the sides of the battery compartment automatically lock into place. To remove
the battery, press the releasing buttons (7) and pull the battery out.
2. To switch on the hedge trimmer, first press the safety switch on the auxiliary
handle (3) and than press the ON/OFF switch (4) inwards. To switch off the
trimmer, release both switches.
3. Use less pressure when trimming. Do not force the hedge trimmer while
trimming. Use common sense while working.
With a fully charged battery you can operate the hedge trimmer for approx. 30
Minutes. If the hedge trimmer stops while cutting, the battery is discharged.
We recommend ordering a second battery under the article no. 85 03 70 so
you will be able to operate the hedge trimmer continuously.
Before cutting bushes, scrubs or hedges, remove thick branches or
similar material. Make sure that there are no small animals hidden in the
bushes or hedges.
There are different cutting techniques and certain seasons to be observed
when trimming hedges or bushes. For detailed information see appropri-
ate technical literature.
Please note the local rest periods when working with the hedge trimmer in
order to avoid disturbances.
4. Switch off the hedge trimmer after work and remove the battery to avoid
injuries.
5. Do not carry the hedge trimmer with your fingers on the safety switch and the
ON/OFF switch. Always fit the blade protection when carrying or storing the
hedge trimmer.
