Your CL2200HF is e11-certified and can charge 1 to 4 AAA or AA NiCd or NiMH batteries. It is protected by a negative
delta-V cut-off function, a thermal cut-off, a charging timer and a reversed polarity / bad battery detection. It comes with
an AC switching power adapter, a car lighter adapter plug and 4 NiMH AA 2200mAh batteries.
2. Safety Warnings
• Do not expose this device to rain or moisture and only use it indoors.
• Only insert rechargeable NiCd or Ni-MH batteries. Any attempt to recharge other battery types or non-
rechargeable batteries may result in exploding batteries, injury and a damaged device.
• Recharge only one type of battery (NiCd or NiMH) at a time, as the battery type is set for the whole device.
• Each time the charger is plugged onto the mains, the charging cycle starts from the beginning. Always make sure
the batteries are charged in 1 cycle. Do not interrupt and restart cycles to avoid overcharging.
• Only use a fast charger when you need to charge batteries quickly. The high charging current will considerably
reduce the number of times your batteries can be recharged.
• Disconnect the charger from the mains and remove the batteries when it is not being used.
• Do not try to open or repair the charger when it is damaged. Return the charger to your supplier for repair.
• Keep the device away from children and unauthorised users.
3. Operating Instructions
1. Set the battery type switch according to the type of battery you are going to charge (NiCd or NiMH).
2. Install 1 to 4 AA or AAA batteries in the charger, respecting the polarity indications. For AAA batteries, swing the
AA/AAA adapter piece down. The charger will automatically adjust the charging current.
3. Plug the charger's AC adapter into a power outlet or the car plug into the lighter port, and connect the CL2200HF.
4. Above each battery, the charging LED should be red. When charging is complete, the LED will turn green to show
the charger is trickle charging. The charging time depends on the type and capacity of the battery and the amount
of energy still in it. Check the table below for an approximate charging time.
5. If one of the LEDs starts blinking, remove the battery in question. Clean the contact points on battery and charger
and put it back. If the LED still blinks, either the battery is not NiCd or NiMH, or it is defective.
6. Unplug the adapter from the power source and remove the batteries when charging is complete.
