Insertion of batteries (Fig. 4)
Remove suction hose from suction base and
fasten as shown in Fig. 5. Release suction base
suspension (20) cable. Remove bolts from sus-
pension form and detach cable. Remove the
retention bolt (15) from the side of the battery
tray (24). Pull the battery tray forwards. Connect
the positive terminal (+) to the left battery in the
direction of travel. Insert battery. Insert the other
battery on the right in the direction of travel.
Connect the negative terminal (-) to the right
battery. First place the left battery, then the right
battery, into the tray. Connect the terminal con-
nection cable. Insert battery tray (24). Fasten
suction base suspension (20) in reverse se-
quence. Attach suction hose to suction base
bracket.

Charging low-maintenance bat-
teries (Fig. 4)

Lower the suction base (17). Undo suction base
suspension (20). Remove battery tray retention
bolt (15). Pull the battery tray (24) out to stop.
Open battery seals. Open the flap (31) for the
battery charger plug (32). Disconnect battery
charger plug (32) from the battery connection
plug (33). Connect the battery charger plug (32)
to the charger output plug. Connect the battery
charger to the mains. The charging process
takes approx. 12 hours. After the charging proc-
ess, remove the charger mains plug from the
mains socket. Check the individual battery cells
with the acid pipette (1.26 kg/cdm per full cell–
1.14 kg/cdm per empty cell). If necessary, top up
with distilled water (fill to max. 5-10 mm above
the edge of the cell).
Attention!
The battery cells must not be over-
filled.
Fasten the battery seals. Connect the battery
charger plug (32) to the battery connection plug
(33). Close flap (31).
