Thank you for purchasing the VOSS Sonic 2200. Due to its easy handling, the Sonic 2200 is the perfect ultrasound
system for beginners. With this distributor you can protect your garden, house, carport, garage, warehouse, loft and
many more places.
USE AND MAINTENANCE:
Please read this manual carefully so as to understand all the possibilities of the device and prevent user errors. Keep
these instructions for next incoming use. Keep the Sonic 2200 permanently in operation. It may take up to 2 weeks
until success occurs.
OPERATION:
•
A strong ultrasonic signal frightens animals. The animals avoid the area because of its unpleasant ultrasonic
sound. The sound is activated when an animal enters the range. Thus, animals can not get used to the sound,
and the repulsive effect is stronger.
•
A strong flashing scares animals. The strong flashing is activated when an animal enters the range, then the
animals will be scared and stand back.

WHERE TO PLACE THE DEVICE:
1.
Regarding to the linear propagation characteristic of ultrasonic waves, please install this device to direction of
animals invading in, which will have a better effect.
2.
When installing this device, please choose a place where the solar parts of the top can get as long time sunshine
as possible, and avoid the obstacles to block the sunshine. If there is dust or dirt on the solar panel, please wipe
them off to ensure the high efficiency of photoelectric conversion.
3.
Fix the spike stake on the unit, Plant the unit into the ground at the place that seems more favorable. You will
feel a little hard to connect the spikes for the first time, which is normal. After using for several times, it will be
easy to install them, so do not use external force to hammer the top of products. When selecting the installation
place, please choose a suitable terrain to ensure water won't dip the USB interface (see chart) in bad weather
conditions, so as to avoiding damage to the product.
4.
The back of device has the hang hole, you can hang up the device to the place where you want frighten animals.
SETTINGS:
•
Button „IR-Range" (left): Is for adjusting sensitivity and distance. By turning the knob clockwise, you increase the
range of protection. To repel small animals, turn the knob up to the right.
•
Button „Frequency" (right): Frequency control. By turning the knob clockwise, you increase the frequency.

0 : OFF
•
1 : Repels animals such as dogs, cats, raccoons, ...
•
2 : Repels animals such as hare, foxes, wild boar, deer, ...
•
3 : Repels animals such as small rodent, mice, rats, badger, otter, ...
•
4 : Strong flashing repels especially birds
•
5 : All functions working, sweep frequency from mode 1 -- mode 2 -- mode 3, and turn on strong flashing.
Important: To change a setting, you must always start from OFF position and then go directly to the function you
need. If you want to change the setting, you always have to restart from Off position. (Ex. if you go from 5 to 3
directly, the frequency the result will be different from the real 3 position).
BATTERY PROTECTION:
1.
When to use the product for the first time, please use up the power of battery (included in the device or bought
by yourself). When the power is not enough, the red light of low voltage indicator will keep on flashing, then
please connect the device to a USB output interface (computer, cell phone chargers, MP3, etc) via the USB line
attached with the device. After fully charged, the red indicator will always be on), and when the product is in low
power again, please charge again. Due to transportation, warehousing, and distribution time vary, when to use it
initially, the power of rechargeable battery will be fully charged soon, that's a normal phenomenon. This charging
process had better repeat 3 times or so, and then the battery will have a better effect.
2.
If new rechargeable battery or battery in the product stowed for a long time (more than one month), it is normal
for rechargeable battery to be fully charged soon. It needs 3-5 times charging to activate this battery, and then it
becomes normal to use. If the batteries which have been used for a long time can be charged fully very soon, it
means you need to change the batteries.
3.
If the battery cannot be use for a long time, please replace 3 pieces 1.2V AA rechargeable batteries (Ni-Cad or
Ni-MH) in the battery case. The better quantity the batteries are, and the bigger capacity the batteries are, the
effect of the product will be better.
4.
Please deal with the abandoned batteries according to the local laws and regulation. Don't throw them away

The ultrasonic is really powerful to scare efficiently. It happens that humans can hear part of its range (Young people
and children). So put the device as far as possible from human life places to avoid annoyances.
Don't install this device in a children and baby playing ground area.
