o When finished grilling, turn off the temperature control knob, unplug the cord, open
the unit and allow it to cool down.
o Empty the grease collector at the back of the device if necessary.
• COOKING TIPS
o Thawed and marinated meat should be dried thoroughly before being placed on the
grill.
o The food which is to be grilled should be uniformly thick to ensure even browning
and cooking.
o Always grease both cooking plates before cooking.
o Cooking times may vary, depending on the food being cooked (temperature prior to
cooking, water content) and individual preference. Experiment with the duration to
obtain the best results.
o Grilling in the open position takes approx. 5 minutes longer than closed.

• CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the contact grill and allow it to cool before cleaning.

Remark: The unit is easier to clean when slightly warm. There is no need to
disassemble the contact grill prior cleaning. Never run water directly onto the
griddles or place the appliance in a dishwasher.
