17. Correction/elimination of errors
With the weather station you have acquired a product which was designed and manufactured according to the state-
of-the-art and is safe to oparate. However, problems and failures may arise. Therefore, we would like to describe how
you can correct or eliminate possible faults.
Problem
No reception of the outdoor
sensor's signal
No DCF reception
Weather station does not react
to the keystrokes on the IR
remote control
Images on the memory card or
USB stick are not shown in the
display
Solution
• The distance between the weather station and the outdoor sensor is too
big. Change the installation location of the outdoor sensor. Observe
chapter 18.
• Perform a manual search for the outdoor sensor (see chapter 15. q).
• Check that the setting for the display of a defined outdoor sensor channel
(chapter 15. u) corresponds to the setting in the outdoor sensor (sliding
switch (20) for the channel settings). If you change the switch (20) in the
outdoor sensor, remove the batteries and re-insert them only after a few
seconds otherwise the settings of the switch will not be saved.
• The batteries of the outdoor sensor are low or empty. Try to insert new
batteries in the outdoor sensor.
• Another transmitter at the same or neighouring frequency is interfering
with the radio signal of the outdoor sensor. Try selecting a different
channel in the outdoor sensor; see chapter 9. c).
• At lower temperatures the range may decrease because batteries and
reachargeable batteries are temperature-sensitive.
• Change the installation location of the weather station. Keep sufficient
distance to electronic devices, metal parts and cables. Do not operate the
weather station in a cellar.
• Perform a manual search for the DCF signal (see chapter 15. k).
• If no DCF reception is possible, turn the DCF reception off (see chapter
15. k) and set the time and date manually (see chapter 15. m).
• Point the IR LED (22) of the IR remote control directly to the reception
diode (4) of the weather station (direct intervisibility is required). With full
battery the range should be several metres. Strong sunlight or bright light
of energy saving lamps will reduce the range!

• Images with oversize (e.g. more than 10000 pixel width) may lead to
display errors and will not be displayed). Downsize such images at the
PC with a suitable software.
