Symptom
The blade edge frequently
becomes chipped
Possible cause
The unit is being pressed too hard during
cutting
The band saw blade has impacted against
the workpiece
The workpiece has moved during cutting
A band saw blade appropriate for the
workpiece is not being used
The band saw blade operating speed is not
appropriate for the workpiece
Cut using the unit's own weight or while
pressing gently.
Bring the band saw blade near the
workpiece slowly and gently begin cutting.
Fasten the workpiece fi rmly with a vice, etc.
Select the correct band saw blade.
