10. Charging the Flight Battery

• Before the final assembly of the model, you
should charge the flight battery (1). An
appropriate plug-in battery charger (2) is
included in the delivery.
• Connect the flight battery with the connectors
(3) of the plug-in charger.
The connector or socket of the plug-in charger
has to be connected to the socket or connector
on the battery cable.
• Then connect the plug-in charger to a 230 V/
50 H mains socket.
For photo-technical reasons, the charging cable of the plug-in charger is illustrated in
wound up state. Before the first use, the cable retainer should be opened and the cable
be unwound.
Attention!
Never connect the connector and the socket of the rechargeable battery to each other.
An extremely high current can flow in this short circuit. There is a high risk of fire and
explosion!
Never short-circuit the two connecting cables of the plug-in charger. Danger of fire and
explosion!
Only use the plug-in charger for the flight battery included in the delivery scope or for
an identical spare battery.
• The charging procedure can last for a maximum of 3.5 hours. Afterwards, the rechargeable battery
has to be disconnected and the charger has to be separated from the mains socket.
If the rechargeable battery is only partly discharged, the charging process must be stopped
earlier. For that purpose, check the temperature of the rechargeable battery manually in
regular intervals.
Once the rechargeable battery is completely charged, the charging current is completely
transformed into heat. Thus, the temperature of the rechargeable battery increases
noticeably. Separate the battery from the plug-in charger.
