Wireless remote control

Preparations for use
1) Caution, please note:
- Use AAA batteries only.
- The batteries must always be inserted
according to the correct polarity (+ and
– markings). If this is not followed, the
batteries may leak, become too hot or
explode.
- Make sure that the camera and the "DCCS"
wireless remote control are switched off
before connecting the shutter release to the
camera.
- Do not pull on the cable when the shutter
release is connected to the camera.
Also, do not bend or crush the cable.
- As this is an electronic product, its function
can be affected by certain factors in the
external environment. Do not use the
wireless remote control in areas where the
use of electronic devices is not permitted.
- Range: Up to 150 meter in open spaces,
without external interference (e.g. W-Lan,
mobile phones, electrical wires, etc.); these
can lessen the range considerably.
- Do not expose the wireless remote shutter
release to strong shocks, moisture or
extreme heat (e.g. enclosed in cars).
- If you do not use the device for an extended
period, remove the batteries, so that any
leaking fluids cannot damage the product.

2) Inserting batteries:
Two AAA batteries are required.
1) Slide the battery cover open (items 12 + 13).
2) Insert the batteries correctly.
3) Slide the battery cover closed.
3) Connecting the wireless "base" to a
camera using a connecting cable:
See items 14, 15 and 16.
4) Preparations:
- Place the receiver in the flash shoe of
the camera. If you would like to use the
camera's built-in flash, you can place the
receiver on a tripod using the ¼" thread or
use the Tripod Organizer (Hama item no.
00005135).
- Open the battery compartment (items 12
+ 13) and set the sender and receiver to
the same channel (items 10 + 11). If you
experience interference from electronic
devices or are using a second remote
shutter release, you can switch to a different
channel to allow for separate operation.
- Activate the receiver by pressing the on/
off switch (item 1) for approximately three
seconds until the LED (item 3) lights up red
and blinks.
- Set the desired recording mode using the
slide bar (item 5).
