The outdoor sensor sends the readings for temperature and air humidity to the
weather station about every 30 seconds.
If nothing appears in the display, check the polarity of the inserted batteries; check their
status (are the batteries empty•).
Take out the batteries and insert them again, try out different (new) batteries.
4. Select the desired temperature unit °C or °F with the "°C/°F" button the battery compartment.
Do not close the battery compartment yet. First start operation of the weather station
as described in the following.
5. Open the battery compartment (15) on the back of the weather station.
6. Insert three type AA/Mignon batteries with correct polarity into the battery compartment
(observe positive/+ and negative/-). You will find corresponding markings in the battery
compartment.
Once the batteries have been inserted, all available display elements appear briefly, then
the first measured values (indoor temperature, indoor humidity etc.) are displayed.
The weather station now attempts to contact the available outdoor sensors within the next
2 minutes.
Do not press a button on the weather station during this time.
7. Close the battery compartment of the weather station.
8. Press the "TX" (20) button in the battery compartment of the outdoor sensor (if necessary
wait shortly and press the button again).
Whenever you press the "TX" button, the measured values are transmitted to the weather
station, the red transmission LED (26) on the front side of the outdoor sensor is lit briefly.
This makes it easier for the weather station to search for and recognise the available
outdoor sensors.
9. Then replace the battery compartment lid and screw it tight (don't use any force).
10. After 2 minutes the search for available outdoor sensors is ended, the weather station
starts to search for a DCF signal for the time and date.
If no sensors were found, remove all the batteries and start at step 2 again.
For test purposes, set the outdoor sensor to another channel.
As an alternative to removing the batteries from the weather station, carefully press
the "RESET" button (5) inset into the housing, with a toothpick or similar.
