4. Safety instructions
The warranty will lapse for damage due to non-compliance with these operating instruc-
tions. We shall not be held liable for any consequential damage or loss!
We shall not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by incor-
rect handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. Any claim to warranty will
lapse in such cases.
Dear Customer, The following safety instructions are intended not only for the protection of your health but
also for the protection of the device. Please read through the following points attentively:
a) General
For safety and licensing (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifica-
tions to the product are not permitted. Moreover, the warranty will lapse in such
cases.
• The device is not a toy and has no place in the hands of children.
• The charger is constructed according to protection class II. As source of volt-
age only a correct mains socket (230V/50Hz) of the public supply system may
be used.
• The product (cordless screwdriver, accumulator, charging set) may not
become damp or wet.
This could not only cause risks of destroying the product but also risks of a
fatal electric shock!
• If the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. for transport rea-
sons), it is possible that condensation water develops. This water could dam-
age the product. Additionally, the charging set can cause a fatal electric shock!
Therefore, allow the complete product to reach room temperature before using
it or before connecting the charging set to the mains voltage. This may take
several hours.
• Never position vessels or containers containing liquids, such as buckets, vas-
es or plants, into the direct vicinity of the product. Liquids could seep into the
interior of the housing and in doing so impair the electrical safety. Apart from
that there is the greatest risk of a fire or a fatal electric shock!
In such a case, switch off the mains socket to which the product is connected
(e.g. switch off automatic fuse) and pull the mains plug of the charging set out
of the mains socket; take the accumulator out of the cordless screwdriver.
Then, the product may not be operated any longer, bring it to a specialist
workshop.
• Do not place open sources of fire such as burning candles on the device or in
its vicinity.

9. Elimination des éléments usés
a) Généralités
Il convient de procéder à l'élimination du produit au terme de sa durée de vie conformément
aux prescriptions légales en vigueur.
b) Elimination des accumulateurs
Le consommateur final est légalement tenu (ordonnance relative à l´élimination des piles
usagées) de rapporter toutes les piles et accumulateurs usés ; il est interdit de les jeter dans
les ordures ménagères !
Les piles et accumulateurs qui contiennent des substances toxiques sont
caractérisés par les symboles ci-contre, qui indiquent l'interdiction de les jeter
dans les ordures ménagères. Les désignations pour le métal lourd décisif sont :
Cd=Cadmium, Hg=Mercure, Pb=Plomb (la désignation se trouve sur la pile,
par ex. en dessous des symboles de poubelles qui figurent à gauche).
Vous pouvez rapporter gratuitement vos piles et accumulateurs usagés aux
centres de récupération de votre commune, à nos succursales ou à tous les
points de vente de piles et d'accumulateurs.
Vous répondez ainsi aux ordonnances légales et contribuez à la protection de l'environnement !
