15.1.6 Changing the battery


The housing must be opened in order to replace the mobile
terminal battery. This may only be performed by trained service
staff!
NOTE
The housing must be opened in order to replace the mobile terminal battery. Please use a Torx 10
screwdriver in order to remove the six screws on the reverse side of the housing (see Figure 10).
Please carefully lift the lower part of the housing and place it to the left of the upper part of the housing (see
Figure 11). In doing so, please pay attention to the internal cables! Using a Torx 10 screwdriver, remove
the battery fuse (see Figure 12). The battery now can be removed.

The battery can be inserted without application of force. The long groove on the unlabelled side of the
battery is the top side. The opening of the groove faces the contacts. In doing so, please ensure that you
insert the battery in the direction of the contacts at a slight downward angle. Using a Torx 10 screwdriver,
please fasten the battery fuse once again (see Figure 10). In order to do so, apply a torque of 0.5 Nm.

Then close the two housing halves once again by using a Torx 10 screwdriver to fasten the six screws
belonging to the lower part of the housing (see Figure 10). In order to do so, apply a torque of 0.5 Nm. In
order to ensure that the mobile terminal remains tight, it must be ensured that the orange rubber surface and
the sealing lip are free from dirt. In doing so, please ensure that the internal cables are not crushed!
