5. Safety instructions
In the case of damages which are caused due to failure to observe these operating instructions,
the guarantee will expire. We do not assume liability for consequential damages!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury, caused by improper use
or failure to observe the safety instructions. The guarantee will lapse in such events.
Dear customer, The safety instructions and danger warnings below are not only for the protection of the
device but also to protect your well being. Please read carefully through the following points:
• Any unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product are inadmissible for safety and Q.C.
reasons (CE). Furthermore, the guarantee/warrantee would also expire in such a case.
• This product is not a toy. Children do not understand how dangerous electrical devices can be.
• The outdoor unit is suitable for installation and operation in a protected outdoor area (IP44). It must
not be subject to direct rainfall (installation under a porch, for instance).
The indoor unit is only intended for the installation and use in dry indoors, it must not get damp or wet!
The same applies for the mains adaptor.
• The mains adaptor is categorise in protection class II and is intended for operation under the mains
voltage (230V~/50Hz) of the public grid.
• When the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. during transport), condensation water
may form. There is the risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Therefore, first let the product heat up to room temperature before mounting and operating it.
• Use the device only in moderate climate regions and not in tropical climate.
• Do not bend the cables and do not place objects on them.
• Before installing the surveillance camera, observe the legal regulations. Before installing the outdoor
unit, enquire whether surveilling the desired area is allowed.
• In industrial facilities, the regulations for the prevention of accidents laid down by the professional
trade associations for electrical equipment and facilities must be adhered to.
• If the product is used at schools, training facilities, do-it-yourself and hobby workshops, it should not
be handled unless supervised by trained, responsible personnel.
• Do not leave packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
