Insert three 1.5 V mignon cells
(AA) for the radio and one 1.5 V
mignon cell (AA) for the clock
into the battery compartment
with the correct polarity.
Put the lid of the battery com-
partment back and screw it tight.
Setting the clock
When you have inserted the clock battery you can set the clock.
Press the button MODE (8)
four times:

The polarity is punched into the
bottom of the battery compart-
ment and can be seen in the fol-
lowing illustration.
For a long life of the batteries,
only use alkaline batteries.
Select the month with the SET
button (9).
Select the day with the SET but-
ton (9).
Select the hour with the SET but-
ton (9).
The hour display first appears in
the 12h- format (display "A"=am
or "P"=pm), but if you let the
hours move on to 12 o'clock ("P")
the display will change to the 24h-
format (display "H").

ate it with a mains adapter or with other battery types.
Make sure you use the device properly.

Keep the device out of the reach of children. Be especially careful
when children are present.
Never expose the radio to high temperatures, direct contact to jets
of water or strong vibrations or mechanical stress.
When in doubt about the operation or the safety of the product,
contact an expert.
Do not leave packing material littered, plastic films or bags, poly-
styrene parts etc. could be a dangerous toy for children.
