Intended use
The active monitor boxes boost the audio signals and convert these into audible sound waves.
The audio inputs should only be connected to the corresponding audio outputs of audio devices.
The power supply may only be connected to power sockets in a shockproof design at 230 V50 Hz
AC current.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Avoid contact with moisture, dripping or
spray water e.g. in the bathroom.
Any other than the intended use described above might result in product damage and furthermore
cause hazards such as electric shock, short circuit, fire etc.
The product as a whole must not be modified or altered!
It is imperative that you follow the safety instructions and all other information contained in this
user manual.

Description of symbols
This symbol indicates important information in the operating instructions. Please read
the operating instructions thoroughly before use, they contain important information on
correct operation.
The symbol with the flash in a triangle indicates a risk to your health, e.g. from electric
shock. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Never open the device.
The symbol with the arrow is used when providing special tips and notes on operating
the device.
Safety instructions
I n case of damage caused by non-observance of these operating instructions, the
warranty gets void! We are not liable for any consequential damage!
W e are not liable for property damage or injuries caused by improper use or non-
observance of safety instructions! Such circumstances will void the warranty!
• The unauthorized conversion and/or changing of the product is not permitted for
safety reasons.
• Only one proper power socket (230 V/50 Hz) of the public power supply may be used
in the protective contact design as a voltage source for the loudspeaker.
• Please ensure correct starting up of the unit . Please follow the operating instruc-
tions.
• Devices which are operated at the power supply should be kept out of reach of chil-
dren. Therefore always take special care when operating the loudspeakers in the
presence of children. There is a risk of lethal electric shock!
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Never pull the plug out of the socket by the cable. Only pull on the gripping surfaces
provided for this.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an
extended period of time.
• For safety reasons always pull the plug out of the power socket during a storm.
• Do not place any containers with liquid, e.g. glasses, buckets, vases or plants onto
the loudspeaker or in its immediate vicinity. Liquids could enter the housing and
hence affect the electric safety. There is also a risk of fire or fatal electric shock! In
such a case, first switch off the power to the mains socket (e.g. via the residual cur-
rent device and circuit breaker) and then disconnect the mains plug from the mains
socket. Disconnect all cables from the device. Do not operate the product anymore
afterwards, but take it to a specialist workshop.
• Do not expose the loudspeakers to any high temperatures, dripping or spray water,
strong vibrations, as well as high mechanical loads.
• Never insert the plug into the power socket if it has just been brought from a cold
room to a warm room. The condensation generated could destroy the device. Leave
the device disconnected until it has reached room temperature. Wait until the con-
densation has evaporated.
• An area of 5cm must be kept around the loudspeaker housing to ensure sufficient
ventilation. The air circulation must not be impeded by objects such as newspapers,
tablecloths, curtains or similar.
• Do not place any open sources of fire such as burning candles onto the loudspeak-
ers or in the immediate vicinity of these.
• Do not carelessly discard packaging material. It poses a potential danger if children
use it as a toy.
• Never operate the loudspeakers unattended.
• Use the product in temperate climates only, do not use in the tropics.
• Observe all other safety instructions in each chapter of these instructions.
• Please note the safety instructions and operating instructions of the remaining de-
vices which are connected to the loudspeaker.
• Do not play music for long periods at excessive volume. This may damage your hear-
ing.
• For installations in industrial facilities, follow the accident prevention regulations for
electrical systems and equipment of the government safety organization or the cor-
responding authority for your country.
• In case of doubts regarding the correct installation or if you have any questions not
being answered in these operating instructions, please contact our technical sup-
port or any other expert.
