Charging the internal rechargeable battery
Before using for the first time, the rechargeable battery has to be charged completely.
The battery can either be recharged using the provided power supply unit or the provided 12V
vehicle adaptor.
• Switch on the handheld spotlight with the "ON/OFF switch" (6).
• Connect the low voltage plug, from the power supply unit or from the 12V vehicle adaptor, to
the "Charging socket" (5) on the handheld spotlight.
• Connect the power supply unit to a standard 230V/AC 50 Hz domestic mains socket or con-
nect the 12V vehicle adaptor to the cigarette lighter in your vehicle.
It takes about 12-14 hours to charge up, depending on the residual capacity
of the internal battery.
Start-up

Switch the handheld spotlight on or off with the "ON/OFF switch" (6).
A fully charged battery provides illumination for about 20 minutes.
LED handheld spotlight, order no: 574506
Switch the LED handheld spotlight on or off with the "ON/OFF switch" (6).
The switch has 3 positions:
Position 1: the handheld spotlight is switched off
Position 2: the halogen bulb activated
Position 3: the LEDs are activated
A fully charged battery provides illumination for about 20 minutes with the
halogen bulb activated. With the LEDs activated, the illumination lasts up to
10 hours.
Replacing the light bulb
Please note, the light source, the holder and the reflector becomes very hot
during use. Risk of burns!
Therefore, allow the components to cool down before you open the housing
and replace the light bulb.
Never touch the bulb with bare hands/fingers.

• Switch on the handheld spotlight with the "ON/OFF switch" (6).
• Make sure the charging socket is not connected to the power supply unit or 12V vehicle
adaptor.
• Screw open the "front cover" (3) counter clockwise and remove it.
• Pull the bulb out of the support.
• Carefully disconnect the connection cable.
• Insert the new bulb (make sure it is the correct type of bulb!).
• Reconnect the connection cable.
• Screw on on the "front cover" (3) again, clockwise.
Maintenance and Care
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be opened or disassembled
for any reason.
Before cleaning the device, disconnect it from the power supply.
Only clean the product with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or
chemical solutions since these might damage the surface of the casing or impair the operation.
Disposal
a) General Information
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory
requirements.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used
batteries/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the
heavy metals involved are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to col-
lection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable
batteries/coin cells are sold!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
