2 Safety Notes
The units (effect unit and power supply unit) corre-
spond to all relevant directives of the EU and are
therefore marked with
WARNING
The power supply unit uses danger-
ous mains voltage. Leave servicing
to skilled personnel only. Inexpert
handling may result in electric shock.
Please observe the following items in any case:
G
The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water,
high air humidity and heat (admissible ambient
temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
G
Disconnect the power supply unit from the socket
immediately
1. if one of the units is visibly damaged,
2. if a defect might have occurred after a unit was
dropped or suffered a similar accident,

3 Applications
The MFX-16M is a digital effect unit with 16 differ-
ent effects, e. g. Delay, Reverb, Gated Reverb,
Chorus, Flanger, etc. and various effect combina-
tions. In an audio system, the effect unit is used to
modify the sound. It is inserted in the signal path,
e. g. in the effect way of a mixer. Due to its compact
design, the MFX-16M is suited for versatile appli-
cations.
4 Connections
Prior to making or changing any connections,
switch off the effect unit and the units to be con-
nected.
1) Connect the line output of a mono signal source
(e. g. effect send output of a mixer, output of a
musical instrument or of a microphone pream-
plifier) to the jack INPUT (14).
