 The appliance is equipped with two programmes for the defrosting of foods.

ROGRAMME
d 01
d 02
 Use foods which are packed in portions (small quantities) and which have been
frozen at a temperature of at least -18
 Consume defrosted food as soon as possible. Do not refreeze after defrosting!
 Remove any packaging material of the frozen foods.
 Weigh the foods to be defrosted ! You need the weight for the setting of the
defrosting programmes as the appliance calculates the defrosting time / cooking
time automatically by means of the weight of the foods.
 Use microwavable ovenware only for defrosting foods and do not cover the
foods during the defrosting process.
 Use the low wire rack for defrosting
 Turn the food during defrosting for an uniform result.
 If you select the programme d 01 for the defrosting of meat, poultry or fish, an
acoustic signal sounds two times during the defrosting process to indicate that
the foods should be turned.
 When you defrost meat, poultry or fish, liquids can occur during the defrosting
process. Remove these liquids whenever you turn the foods. Never use these
liquids for other purpose and never let them come in contact with other foods.
 Let the foods rest for additional 10 - 30 Minutes after defrosting until they have
reached an even temperature.
 Larger pieces of meat need a longer rest period than smaller ones.
 Flat pieces of meat and foods which are made of minced meat should be kept
separately during the rest period.
