can result in signifi cant risks for the user. In addition warranty
claims become void.

If the connecting cable of the appliance is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, his customer service or by a qualifi ed
technician so as to avoid safety risks.

A repair to the appliance during the warranty period may only
be carried out by a customer service department authorised by
the manufacturer otherwise no additional warranty claims can be
considered for subsequent damages.

Defective components may only be replaced with original replace-
ment parts. Only by using original replacement parts can you
guarantee that the safety requirements are complied with.

Protect the appliance from moisture and liquid penetration. NEVER
submerse the appliance in water or other liquids, locate it in the
immediate vicinity of water or place water-fi lled objects (e.g. vases)
on it. If water permeates into the interior of the appliance it will be
damaged beyond repair!

Do not operate the appliance in the vicinity of open fl ames (e.g.
candles). If you do, the appliance could be damaged beyond
repair.
■
To disconnect from the mains power socket, always pull on the
plug, not the power cable. Otherwise, there is a risk that the cable
could be damaged! Risk of electric shock!
■
Ensure that the plug is at all times easily accessible, so that it can
be quickly removed in the event of potential danger or risk.
