CONNECTION TO AMPLIFIER,
RECEIVER OR PREAMPLIFIER
Use of the digital output
This output emits the music signal as a digital S/PDIF audio signal (PCM). The connection is only requi-
red if an external D/A converter is to be used or the player is to be connected to the coaxial digital audio
input of an AV receiver or an AV preamplifier. To make the connection you need a coaxial cable with 75Ω
characteristic wave impedance and with a RCA connector on both sides, which is not supplied with the
device. Connect the connector "DIGITAL OUT COAXIAL" (15) of the device to the digital input socket of
the amplifier which is usually labelled "DIGITAL IN" or "COAXIAL". The best sound is obtained in most
cases by connection with one of the analogue outputs (14).

Connection of a USB-source device
The integrated D/A converter makes it possible to transfer digital music signals directly from the compu-
ter through the amplifier similar to the boxes. For this, the USB jack serves as input.
