Platzieren Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Störquellen wie Fernseher, Computer, o.ä.. Vermeiden Sie es, das Gerät neben oder auf Metallplatten zu stellen. Geschlossene Räume wie Flughäfen, Keller, Fabriken und Räume, in denen Stahlbeton in den Wänden verwendet wurde, werden nicht empfohlen.

    BATTERIE-WARNHINWEISE Setzen Sie Batterien keinen extremen Temperaturen, wie etwa direkter Sonneneinstrahlung oder Feuer, aus. Legen Sie das Gerät nicht auf Heizkörper. Auslaufende Batteriesäure kann Schäden verursachen. Setzen Sie Batterien immer gemäß der korrekten Polarität ein (+ und –), wie im Batteriefach abgebildet. Achtung!     INBETRIEBNAHME • Entfernen Sie die Batteriefachabdeckung (C1) auf der Rückseite des Gerätes. Legen Sie neue Batterien (Typ: V, AA) polrichtig ein. • Wechseln Sie die Batterien, sobald die Anzeige im Display nicht mehr optimal ist. Sobald die Batterien eingelegt wurden, beginnt die Uhr nach dem Funkuhrsignal der Atomuhr in Frankfurt/Mainflingen zu suchen.

Die aktuelle Zeit wird mit dem Funksignal aus Frankfurt, Deutschland (DCF77), synchronisiert. DCF77 ist ein Zeitsignal und wird Funksignal- auf der Normalfrequenz 77,5 kHz als Zeitinformation in Symbol (A4) kodierter Form ausgestrahlt.
