Use the vacuum cleaner only when you

ate instructions. A thorough introduction reduces operating
errors and injuries.
The vacuum cleaner is suitable only for

vacuuming dry materials. The penetra-
tion of liquids increases the risk of an electric shock.
The vacuum cleaner must only be
used indoors. The penetration of rain
or moisture into the top of the vacuum cleaner increases the
risk of an electric shock.
Do not vacuum hot or burning dusts,

and in rooms with an explosion hazard.
Dusts can ignite or explode.
Remove the battery before cleaning or performing
maintenance on the vacuum cleaner, making tool ad-
justments, changing accessories or storing the vacuum
cleaner. This safety measure prevents the vacuum cleaner
from being started accidentally.
Provide for good ventilation at the working place.
Have the vacuum cleaner repaired only through quali-
fied specialists and only using original spare parts. This
ensures that the safety of your vacuum cleaner is main-
tained.
The intake port and ventilation slots must not be shut,
covered or clogged. This is to ensure proper operation of
the motor.
Vacuuming sharp-edged objects such as broken glass,
nails, stones, needles or razor blades can damage the
filter.
Do not open the battery. Danger of short-circuiting.
Protect the battery against heat, e. g., against
continuous intense sunlight, fire, water, and mois-
ture. Danger of explosion.
When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from oth-
er metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal objects that can make a
connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally oc-
curs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, addition-
ally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery
may cause irritations or burns.
In case of damage and improper use of the battery, va-
pours may be emitted. Ventilate the area and seek
medical help in case of complaints. The vapours can irri-
tate the respiratory system.

Recharge only with the charger specified by the manu-
facturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery
pack may create a risk of fire when used with another bat-
tery pack.
Use the battery only together with your Bosch product.
This is the only way to protect the battery against danger-
ous overload.
The battery can be damaged by pointed objects such as
nails or screwdrivers or by force applied externally. An
internal short circuit can occur and the battery can burn,
smoke, explode or overheat.
