11. Retrofitting and reprogramming to digital
operation

Alternating current version AC 0455
Engines of the alternating current version AC are supplied with
digital decoder (33) for analog operation as a standard. If the
engine is operated in digital mode, the digital decoder has to
be reprogrammed in accordance with the enclosed operating
instructions 'digital decoder AnDI 75 3..'.
Direct current version DC 0425
Engines of the direct current version DC are supplied with
dummy plug (34).
Mounting digital decoder:
Dismantling housing see page 12, item 2. Pull off the dummy
plug (34) and plug in the digital decoder. The pc-board of the
decoder is installed in the middle of the locomotive. For the
correct installation of the digital decoder, the direction in which
to plug it in and how to programme it, please refer to the
mounting instructions of the decoder manufacturer. Once the
digital decoder has been plugged in, it must be checked
whether the light is working. If the light does not function, turn
the plug by 180°.
Note:
Please note exactly where and how each individual part was
mounted. The mounting position is also indicated on the spart
parts graph on page 16 / 17.
