After Use

CAUTION!
❐ Danger to Life from Electric Shock! Remove the mains plug from the plug socket before
doing any cleaning. Keep the device, the mains cable and the mains plug away from water or
other liquids.
❐ Caution: Danger of burns! The device is still hot after it has been switched off.
❐ Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the device. These
could damage the surfaces.
1. Switch the device off and pull the mains plug out of the mains socket.
2. Allow the device to cool down.
5. If necessary, the diffuser attachment and the hair-styling nozzle can be cleaned under running
water with a little detergent. Dry all attachments thoroughly before you attach them
to the device!
6. For storage, you can hang the device on the eyelet on the handle. Keep the device out of the
reach of children and animals in a dry, frost-free place that is protected from the sun.
Do not wind the cable around the device!

Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check fi rst of all whether you are able to rectify a
problem yourself. Otherwise you should contact the customer service department. Do not at-
tempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem
The device does not work.
Odour produced
The device switches off
during use.
3. Remove hair, fl uff or dust from the air outlet and intake opening.
To do this, remove the air inlet grille: Press the locking mecha-
nism towards the grille and fl ip it up. Insert it again after cleaning.
4. If necessary, wipe down the housing with a slightly damp cloth
and dry it with a soft cloth. If it is heavily soiled, you can use a
little detergent to clean the housing.
Possible cause/solution
• Is the plug not inserted in the mains socket correctly?
Insert the plug correctly.
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
• When the device is fi rst used: A smell often develops when
new devices are fi rst used. The smell should disappear after
you have used the device several times.
• The device has already been used: Is any hair, fl uff or dust in
the air outlet and intake opening? Clean the device in the
manner described in the "After Use" chapter.
• The overheating protection has been triggered. Follow the
instructions in the "Overheating Protection" section.
