Normal Display
The display is always on when batteries are installed, normally displaying the active Mode of the
remote e.g. DVD, the day of week e.g. Mon, and time of day e.g. 23:58, in 24 hour format.
Mode Keypress Display
Pressing a Mode key changes remote operation to that Mode and displays the active Mode and
its code e.g. DVD and the programmed 4-digit code e.g. 0768. Display returns to Normal display
on Mode key release.
Setup (Shift) Keypress Display
Pressing and releasing the Setup key displays the active Mode of the remote e.g. DVD, the Date
e.g. 9:10 (Day: Month) and indicates "Shift" operation with "(S)". Press and release Exit to return
to normal display.
Shift Function
Some keys of the universal remote control can be allocated twice. To use these functions press
and release the Setup key (S is displayed on the LCD screen) followed by the desired secondary
function key. If no key is pressed after the Shift key the remote will time-out to normal
(non-shifted) operation after 15-20 seconds.
IR Transmission
Once a key has been pressed (and not released) the remote is programmed to cease
IR transmissions after 255 IR message transmissions (approximately 30 seconds depending on
actual code programmed). This is to prevent battery drain should a key become "stuck" inadvertently
e.g. the remote may become trapped down the side of a chair with a key depressed.
Keypress Indication
Keypresses are indicated by either a "transmit" symbol in the LCD display or by a change of
screen display.
Power-On Default
The remote will always power-on in TV Mode on battery insertion.
TV Mode
Only a TV code can be programmed under the TV mode key.
Setup Screen Navigation
To entry the Setup Menu, press and hold the Setup key until "CODE SETUP" appears in the
display. The "SET" symbol will always be shown when the remote is in Setup. Successive presses
of the Setup key will present available Setup options:
CODE SETUP > SYSTEM SETUP > TIMER SETUP > LERNEN SETUP > MACRO SETUP > SETUP VERL.
Press OK to select the desired programming step required.
Use the Setup, Okay, Up, Down, Left and Right arrow keys for Setup screen navigation and
selection. To exit Setup routines and return to normal operation, press the Exit key or navigate to
