proved ideal.
Deploy all cables neatly, wherever possible without crossing them over. It is of
fundamental importance never to allow a positive wire to make electrical contact with a
negative wire. Deploy all motor cables in such a way that there is no chance of them
contacting any rotating parts of the power system. Use cable ties or adhesive tape for
this.
Deploy the receiver aerial as far from all high-current wires as possible (at least 3 cm).
Please ensure that the only materials to make contact with the Depron surfaces are
foam-compatible adhesives and cleaning agents, as other solvents may dissolve and
destroy the surface.
Recommended adhesives for gluing various materials:
Material - material
Plastic generally - Depron
Depron - Depron
Depron - metal
Read and observe the instructions supplied with all adhesives! The building instructions inform you
when to use particular glues. If you wish to use white spirit or other solvent as a cleaning agent, note
that special safety measures are required. Read the instructions supplied with these materials.
Assembly instructions
1. Cut out the Parts List from the instructions, and the page showing the part numbers of
the laser-cut components, so that you always have direct access to this information
during the building process. This will make construction easier, and help you to
understand the instructions.
2. Glue the battery holder sides (1) or (2) (depending on battery size) to the battery holder.
The two sides are tapered, so take care to fit them the right way round.
3. Sand a 45° chamfer in the right and left inside face of the fuselage reinforcements (4).
Sand a 30° chamfer in the elevator (5), the fuselage centre section (6), the bottom wing
(7), the bottom ailerons (8), the top wing (9), the top ailerons (1), the fuselage top section
(11), the fuselage bottom sections (12) and the rudder (13) so that the desired control
surface travels can be obtained later.
4. The next step is to assemble the tailwheel unit: fit the tailwheel (13) on the wire tailwheel
unit (14). Secure the tailwheel by bending the end of the tailwheel axle using a pair of
pliers; check that it rotates freely.
5. Cut a slot about 2 mm deep and 20 mm long in the rudder (15). Fit the tailwheel unit in
the rudder and glue it in place securely. Apply a small piece of glass fibre adhesive tape
(16) round the front face of the rudder to provide support for the tailwheel.
6. The ailerons (8) and (10) and the elevator (5) can now be attached to the fixed panels
using the glass fibre tape (16); note that the rudder (15) is fitted later. Apply a patch of
glass fibre tape (16) on the opposite side at the horn positions for added strength.
7. Glue the plywood rigging reinforcements (17) and the rigging / cabane reinforcements
(18) in the appropriate laser-cut holes using UHU POR, keeping them flush with the
surface.
8. Insert the fuselage top section (11) in the fuselage centre section (6) using UHU POR.
