Replacing the cover gasket

There must be no melt at all left in the tank when the cover gasket is replaced. Therefore
discharge the melt completely, e.g. into a collecting vessel.
1. Disconnect the compressed-air supply.
2. Lay the device on its side so that the underside of the cover is readily accessible.
3. Undo the fixing screws (D1) of the gasket-holder (D2) with the Phillips-type screwdriver.
Carefully remove the gasket-holder.
4. Carefully remove the gasket from the pressure plate (D4).
5. Insert the new gasket into the pressure plate so that it is in uniformly close contact all
over.
6. Fit the gasket-holder. In doing so position the vent hole carefully (see fig. 6.5/1).
Tighten the fixing screws alternately.
