Taking a blood pressure measurements (cont.)
In «CASUAL» mode
Be sure the device is set to «CASUAL» Mode.
1) Before each measurement – Patients should
be informed to avoid physical activity, eating or
smoking before each measurement. The patient
should sit down for at least 5 minutes before the
measurement and relax.
2) Applying the cuff – Patients should be trained
on how to properly fit the cuff to their own arm.
The cuff should fit closely around the arm, but not
too tight, and be placed 2~3cm above the elbow
with the tube on the inside of the arm. The patient
should support the arm at the same height as the
heart during measurement.
