• Please note: only start grilling once the grill plate or grill
stone has become hot.
• Do not use the Dutch Poffertjes baking plate for grilling.
Otherwise, the plate is not easy to be cleaned.
Raclette grilling
This traditional Swiss cooking method is based on dishes
prepared with melted cheese and potatoes. The grill plates are
used to keep the potatoes warm and to grill meat, fish and other
food. The pans are placed under the heating element and
everyone can prepare their own food with melted cheese.
Raclette grilling can easily be combined with grilling.
• Please note: only start raclette grilling once the grill plate
or grill stone has become hot.
Pan-frying
Everyone prepares their own food in a pan placed on the grill
plate above the heating element whilst sitting around the same
table; that's pan-frying!
1
The required temperature has been reached once the
orange indicator light goes out. You can then start pan-
frying.
Switching off and storing the appliance
1
Remove the plug from the wall socket.
2
Allow the appliance to cool down.
3
Clean the appliance and all the accessories (see 'Cleaning
and maintenance').
4
Wind the power cord around the hooks on the base of the
appliance. See figure 1.

Cleaning and maintenance

• Never clean the appliance when it is switched on or is
still hot. Switch off the appliance and wait until it has
cooled down before cleaning it.
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning products.
• Make sure that the plug has been removed from the wall
socket before cleaning the appliance.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Make sure no moisture comes into contact with the
appliance's electrical parts.
1
Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the
appliance to cool down.
2
We recommend that you clean the pans, the spatulas, the
Dutch Poffertjes baking plate, the grill stone and the grill
plate using hot water and washing-up liquid.
• Lift the tray from the heating base by pushing it upwards
through the holes in the bottom of the heating base. The
tray can then be easily removed from the heating base.
• You can also clean the tray, the grill plate and the Dutch
Poffertjes baking plate in a dishwasher.
• The pans and the grill stone must NOT be cleaned in a
dishwasher.
3
Clean the heating base with a damp cloth.
4
Make sure the heating base and the accessories are dry
before storing them.
