Clean the ironing base with a slightly damp cloth.
•
In order to remove all residues before initial use, please pass the iron a few
times over an old clean cloth.
•
Unscrew the seal of the water tank (10) and fi ll it via the fi lling aperture (11)
with a maximum of 1 litre of distilled water. Then re-tighten the seal.
•
NOTE: If no steam comes out when the fi rst time the machine is used and all
instructions have been followed, keep the pump button pressed (3) for approx.
one minute so that the water is pumped from the water tank (10) into the iron.
It is also possible to lock the pump button (3) in place. Then steam should
come out.
Ironing without Steam
1. The clothes to be ironed should be sorted out according to their ironing
temperature.
2. Please begin with the lowest temperature. This can be set on the temperature
regulator (1):

(Cotton, linen)
3. Place the machine on the iron well (12).
4. Electrical connection:
Make sure that the iron voltage (see name plate) and the line voltage match.
Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety socket, 230 V/50 Hz.
Turn operating switch I (8) on the station to position b and move the steam
regulator (7) to MIN. Operating switch I (8) lights up. Please ensure that opera-
ting switch II (9) is turned to position Off.
5. The control lamp of the iron (5) shows it is being heated up. As soon as the
control lamp goes off the operating temperature has been reached. Now you
can start ironing.
6. Always remove the mains plug after using the machine.
