3.4 Switching-on and measuring

3.4.1 Switching-on

1 Connect probe (take note of plug coding).
2 Switch unit on with
- After switching on, a short display and function test will take
place. The measuring instrument is now ready for use.

3.4.2 HOLD-Function

3.4.3 Auto-Off-Function

The Auto-Off-Function switches the unit off after 10 minutes'
operating time thus avoiding unintentional discharge of the battery.
Cannot be switched off if HOLD function is activated.

3.4.4 Changing measuring unit

The display can be switched between °C and °F.
1 Press to switch on instrument.
2 Keep pressed during display and function tests.
- The measuring unit currently set flashes once the display and
function test is complete.
2 Switch between °C and °F within 5 seconds via
- If a button is not pressed within 5 seconds, the new measuring
unit comes into effect.

3.4.5 Switching-off

Switch the unit off with
- The instrument is off if the display is no longer activated.
