    – 5 – WICHTIGE HINWEISE 1.1 Allgemein Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung vollständig durch. Be­ wahren Sie sie zum späteren Nachschlagen auf. Bei Nichtbe­ achtung der Gebrauchsanweisung können Verletzungen oder Schäden am Produkt nicht ausgeschlossen werden. 1.2 Gestaltung von Sicherheitshinweisen Sicherheitsrelevante Warnungen sind in dieser Gebrauchsan­ weisung in Gefahrenstufen eingeteilt: – Mit dem Signalwort WARNUNG sind Gefahren gekenn­ zeichnet, die ohne Vorsichtsmaßnahmen zu schweren Ver­ letzungen oder sogar zum Tod führen können. – Mit dem Signalwort VORSICHT sind Gefahren gekennzeich­ net, die ohne Vorsichtsmaßnahmen zu leichten bis mittel­ schweren Verletzungen oder zu Beeinträchtigungen der Therapie führen können. – Mit dem Signalwort HINWEIS sind allgemeine Vorsichts­ maßnahmen gekennzeichnet, die im Umgang mit dem Pro­ dukt beachtet werden sollten, um Schäden am Produkt zu vermeiden. 1.3 Umgang mit dem Kompressor Der Kompressor ist ein elektrisches Gerät, das mit Netzspan­ nung betrieben wird. Er ist so konzipiert, dass keine stromfüh­ renden Teile zugänglich sind. Bei nicht geeigneten Umge­ bungsbedingungen bzw. einer Beschädigung des Kompressors oder des Netzkabels kann dieser Schutz jedoch nicht mehr vorhanden sein. Beachten Sie daher die folgenden Hinweise, um einen Gerätedefekt und die damit verbundene Gefahr durch Kontakt mit stromführenden Teilen (z.B. elektrischer Schlag) zu vermeiden:...
  • Seite 6 – 6 – – Der Kompressor ist nicht spritzwassergeschützt. Schützen Sie das Gerät und das Netzkabel vor Flüssigkeit und Nässe. Fassen Sie das Gerät, das Netzkabel oder den Netzstecker niemals mit feuchten Händen an. Das Gerät darf außerdem nicht in feuchter Umgebung betrieben werden. – Verwenden Sie zum Betrieb des Kompressors nur das PARI Netzkabel. – Lassen Sie den Kompressor während des Betriebes nie­ mals unbeaufsichtigt. – Ziehen Sie aus Sicherheitsgründen unter folgenden Um­ ständen stets den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose: – bei Störungen während des Betriebes – vor jeder Reinigung und Pflege – unmittelbar nach dem Gebrauch – Ziehen Sie das Netzkabel stets am Netzstecker und nicht am Kabel aus der Steckdose. – Achten Sie darauf, dass das Netzkabel niemals geknickt, gequetscht oder eingeklemmt wird. Ziehen Sie das Netzka­ bel nicht über scharfe Kanten. – Halten Sie den Kompressor und das Netzkabel von heißen Flächen (z.B. Herdplatte, Heizstrahler, offenes Feuer) fern. Das Gehäuse des Kompressors oder die Isolierung des Netzkabels könnten beschädigt werden. – Halten Sie das Netzkabel von Haustieren (z.B. Nagetieren) fern. Diese könnten die Isolierung des Netzkabels beschädi­ gen. – Der Kompressor darf nicht in Betrieb genommen bzw. es muss sofort der Netzstecker aus der Steckdose gezogen...

    – 7 – 1.4 Therapie von Babys, Kindern und hilfsbedürftigen Personen Babys, Kinder und hilfsbedürftige Personen dürfen nur unter ständiger Aufsicht eines Erwachsenen inhalieren. Nur so ist ei­ ne sichere und wirksame Therapie gewährleistet. Diese Perso­ nen schätzen oftmals Gefährdungen (z.B. Strangulation mit dem Netzkabel oder dem Anschlussschlauch) falsch ein, wo­ durch eine Verletzungsgefahr bestehen kann. Das Produkt enthält Kleinteile. Kleinteile können die Atemwege blockieren und zu einer Erstickungsgefahr führen. Achten Sie daher darauf, dass Sie den Kompressor, den Vernebler und das Zubehör stets außer Reichweite von Babys und Kleinkin­ dern aufbewahren. Das Gerät sowie der Anschlussschlauch am Kompressoraus­ gang können im Normalbetrieb sehr warm werden. Vermeiden Sie daher insbesondere bei pflegebedürftigen Personen, dass diese in direkten Hautkontakt mit dem Kompressor kommen. Bei längerem Hautkontakt können Hautverbrennungen auftre­ ten, insbesondere bei Personen mit gestörter Temperaturwahr­ nehmung.

    – 8 – PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG 2.1 Lieferumfang Prüfen Sie, ob die zu Ihrem Kompressor gehörenden Kompo­ nenten im Lieferumfang enthalten sind. Sollte etwas fehlen, verständigen Sie umgehend den Händler, bei dem Sie den PARI Kompressor erhalten haben. (1) Kompressor (3) Anschlussschlauch (2) Vernebler (4) Netzkabel 1) Der abgebildete Vernebler ist ein PARI LC Plus Vernebler und als Produktbei­ spiel zu betrachten. Je nach Produktpaket können auch andere PARI Vernebler im Lieferumfang enthalten sein. Zum Lieferumfang des Verneblers siehe dessen Gebrauchsanweisung.

    – 9 – 2.2 Zweckbestimmung Der Kompressor dient dazu, Druckluft für den Betrieb eines PARI Verneblers zu erzeugen. Der Kompressor darf nur für PARI Vernebler verwendet werden. Er ist ausschließlich für die Verwendung in Räumen bestimmt. Eine zweckfremde Verwendung oder die Verwendung von Ver­ neblern oder Zubehör von Fremdherstellern kann zu einer Be­ einträchtigung der Therapie, einer Beschädigung des Gerätes oder sogar zu Verletzungen führen. Die PARI GmbH haftet nicht für Schäden, die beim Betrieb des Kompressors außerhalb seiner Zweckbestimmung entstehen. Dies gilt insbesondere bei einer zweckfremden Verwendung des Kompressors oder bei einer Verwendung von Verneblern bzw. Zubehör von Fremdherstellern. In diesen Fällen bestehen auch keine Gewährleistungsansprüche. 2.3 Produktkombinationen Der Kompressor ist geeignet für den Betrieb mit folgenden Ver­ neblern: – Alle Vernebler der PARI LC SPRINT Familie – Alle Vernebler der PARI LC Familie Den Verneblern liegt bei Erstausstattung und Nachkauf stets eine separate Gebrauchsanweisung bei.

    – 11 – INBETRIEBNAHME 3.1 Aufstellung Der Raum, in dem der Kompressor betrieben wird, muss be­ stimmte Voraussetzungen erfüllen [siehe: 6.5 Umgebungsbe­ dingungen für den Betrieb]. Der Kompressor ist nicht für die Verwendung im Außenbereich bestimmt. VORSICHT Beachten Sie beim Aufstellen des Kompressors folgende Hin­ weise, um eine Verletzungsgefahr oder eine Beschädigung des Gerätes zu vermeiden: – Stellen Sie den Kompressor auf einem festen, flachen, staubfreien und trockenen Untergrund auf. Eine weiche Un­ terlage wie z.B. ein Sofa, ein Bett oder eine Tischdecke ist nicht geeignet, der Kompressor könnte herunterfallen. – Verlegen Sie das Netzkabel so, dass es keine Stolperfalle darstellt und dass sich niemand darin verfangen kann. – Achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder den Kompressor nicht am Netzkabel oder am Anschlussschlauch herunterziehen kön­ nen. – Betreiben Sie den Kompressor nur in staubarmer Umge­ bung. Beim Betrieb in stark staubbelasteter Umgebung (z.B. unter dem Bett oder in Werkstätten) sowie beim Betrieb auf dem Fußboden kann sich vermehrt Staub im Inneren des Gehäuses ablagern, wodurch die Therapie beeinträchtigt oder der Kompressor beschädigt werden kann. – Betreiben Sie den Kompressor nicht in der Nähe von ent­ zündlichen Gegenständen wie z.B. Vorhängen, Tischdecken oder Papier. – Betreiben Sie den Kompressor nicht in explosionsgefährde­ ten Bereichen bzw. in Gegenwart von brandfördernden Ga­ sen (z.B. Sauerstoff, Lachgas, entflammbare Anästhetika).

    – 12 – 3.2 Vorbereitung Überprüfen Sie vor jeder Anwendung das Gehäuse des Kom­ pressors, das Netzkabel und den Netzstecker auf Unversehrt­ heit. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die örtliche Netzspannung mit der Spannungsangabe auf dem Typenschild des Kompressors übereinstimmt. Benutzen Sie den Kompressor nur, wenn alle Bestandteile intakt sind. Der Kompressor darf nicht in Betrieb genommen werden, wenn das Gerät oder das Netzkabel be­ schädigt ist, oder wenn der Verdacht auf eine Beschädigung (z.B. nach einem Sturz oder bei Geruch nach verschmortem Kunststoff) besteht. Bereiten Sie das Gerät wie folgt für eine Inhalation vor: • Montieren Sie den Vernebler wie in der Gebrauchsanwei­ sung des Verneblers beschrieben. • Stecken Sie ein Ende des Anschlussschlauchs am Verneb­ ler an. • Stecken Sie das andere Ende des Anschlusschlauchs am Kompres­ sor an. Die Schlauchstecker lassen sich besser aufstecken, wenn sie beim Aufstecken leicht gedreht werden. • Stecken Sie den Vernebler in die dafür vorgesehene Halte­ rung am Kompressor. • Befüllen Sie den Vernebler wie in der Gebrauchsanweisung des Verneblers beschrieben.

    – 13 – • Verbinden Sie das Netzkabel mit der Netzanschlussbuchse des Kompressors. • Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in ei­ ne geeignete Steckdose. 3.3 Inhalation durchführen Um eine Überhitzung des Kompressors zu vermeiden, decken Sie das Gerät während des Betriebs nicht ab und achten Sie darauf, dass die seitlichen Lüftungsschlitze frei sind. Eine Ab­ deckung des Kompressors oder eine Verdeckung der Lüf­ tungsschlitze beeinträchtigt die Kühlung des Kompressors. • Ziehen Sie den Vernebler vor der Behandlung aus der Halterung heraus. • Starten Sie den Kompressor mit dem Ein/Aus­Schalter. • Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Medi­ kamentennebel (Aerosol) erzeugt wird, bevor Sie mit der Inhalation beginnen. • Führen Sie die Inhalation wie in der Gebrauchsanweisung des Verneblers beschrieben durch.

    – 14 – 3.4 Inhalation beenden • Schalten Sie den Kompressor aus. • Setzen Sie den Vernebler wieder zurück in seine Halterung. • Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose. Die vollständige Trennung vom Netz ist nur gewährleistet, wenn der Netzstecker aus der Steckdose gezogen ist. WARTUNG 4.1 Reinigung des Kompressors • Wischen Sie die Außenfläche des Gehäuses mit einem sauberen, feuchten Tuch ab. HINWEIS Eingedrungene Flüssigkeiten können einen Gerätedefekt verursachen. Sprühen Sie deshalb keine Flüssigkeit auf den Kompressor oder auf das Netzkabel. Ist Flüssigkeit in den Kompressor eingedrungen, darf das Gerät auf keinen Fall mehr verwendet werden. Setzen Sie sich vor einer erneuten Verwendung des Kompressors unbedingt mit dem Technischen Service der PARI GmbH oder mit dem PARI Service Center in Verbindung.

    – 15 – Für die Reinigung des Verneblers, des Anschlussschlauches und des Zubehörs beachten Sie die Anweisungen in der jewei­ ligen Gebrauchsanweisung. 4.2 Filterwechsel Der Filter des Kompressors muss bei normalen Betriebsbedin­ gungen alle 200 Betriebsstunden, mindestens jedoch einmal im Jahr ausgewechselt werden. Überprüfen Sie darüber hinaus in regelmäßigen Abständen (nach jeder 10. Inhalation) den Filter. Ist er verschmutzt (Grau­ oder Braunfärbung) oder verstopft, tauschen Sie ihn aus. Sollte der Filter feucht geworden sein, muss er ebenfalls gegen einen neuen Filter ausgetauscht werden. Der Filter kann nicht gereinigt und dann wiederverwendet werden! HINWEIS Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Luftfilter, die von PARI für den Betrieb Ihres Kompressors vorgesehen sind, da sonst Ihr Kompressor beschädigt werden könnte oder keine ausrei­ chende Therapie sichergestellt werden kann. Zum Auswechseln des Filters gehen Sie wie folgt vor: • Stecken Sie den beiliegenden Fil­ terwechsler (11) auf den Filter (7) auf. Durch eine Drehbewegung lässt sich der Filter leicht aus dem Kom­ pressorgehäuse entfernen.

    – 16 – • Nehmen Sie den neuen Luftfilter und drücken Sie diesen mit dem Loch voran bis zum Anschlag auf den rechten, kreuz­ förmigen Adapter. 4.3 Instandsetzung Eine Instandsetzung des Kompressors darf nur durch den Technischen Service der PARI GmbH oder eine von PARI aus­ drücklich dazu ermächtigte Service­Stelle erfolgen. Wird der Kompressor von anderen Personen geöffnet oder manipuliert, verfallen sämtliche Gewährleistungsansprüche. In diesen Fäl­ len übernimmt die PARI GmbH auch keine Haftung. 4.4 Aufbewahrung • Trennen Sie das Netzkabel vom Kompressor. • Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel auf. HINWEIS Durch Knicken kann das Netzkabel beschädigt werden. Wi­ ckeln Sie deshalb das Netzkabel nicht um den Kompressor. Lagern Sie den Kompressor und das Zubehör geschützt vor anhaltender direkter Sonneneinstrahlung. Bewahren Sie den Kompressor immer vom Stromnetz getrennt auf, da ans Stromnetz angesteckte elektrische Geräte eine po­ tenzielle Gefahrenquelle darstellen.

    – 19 – 6.3 Angaben zur elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit Medizinische elektrische Geräte unterliegen hinsichtlich der elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit (EMV) besonderen Vor­ sichtsmaßnahmen. Sie dürfen nur gemäß den EMV­Hinweisen installiert und in Betrieb genommen werden. Tragbare und mobile Hochfrequenz­Kommunikationseinrich­ tungen können medizinische elektrische Geräte beeinflussen. Die Verwendung von anderem Zubehör, anderen Wandlern und Leitungen als den angegebenen, mit Ausnahme der Wandler und Leitungen, die der Hersteller des medizinischen elektrischen Gerätes als Ersatzteile für interne Komponenten verkauft, kann zu einer erhöhten Aussendung oder einer redu­ zierten Störfestigkeit des Gerätes führen. Das Gerät darf nicht unmittelbar neben oder mit anderen Gerä­ ten gestapelt angeordnet werden. Wenn der Betrieb nahe oder mit anderen Geräten gestapelt erforderlich ist, sollte das medi­ zinische elektrische Gerät beobachtet werden, um seinen ord­ nungsgemäßen Betrieb in der benutzten Anordnung sicherzu­ stellen. Technische Daten zur elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit (EMV­Hinweise) in tabellarischer Form liegen dem Gerät bei. Sie sind außerdem auf Anfrage bei der PARI GmbH oder im In­ ternet unter www.pari.de/Produkte auf der jeweiligen Produkt­ seite unter „Technische Daten“ zu erhalten.

    – 20 – 6.4 Empfohlene Schutzabstände Empfohlene Schutzabstände zwischen tragbaren und mobilen Hochfrequenz(HF)­Telekommunikationsgeräten und dem PARI Kompressor: Der PARI Kompressor ist für den Betrieb in einer elektroma­ gnetischen Umgebung bestimmt, in der gestrahlte HF­Störgrö­ ßen kontrolliert werden. Der Anwender kann helfen, elektroma­ gnetische Störungen dadurch zu verhindern, dass er Min­ destabstände zwischen tragbaren und mobilen HF­Kommuni­ kationseinrichtungen (Sendern) und dem PARI Kompressor, wie unten entsprechend der maximalen Ausgangsleistung der Kommunikationseinrichtung empfohlen, einhält.     – 33 – 2.2 Intended use The purpose of the compressor is to generate compressed air for operating a PARI nebuliser. The compressor must only be used for PARI nebulisers. It is intended exclusively for indoor use.     – 35 – PREPARATION FOR USE 3.1 Setup The room in which the compressor is operated must satisfy certain conditions [see also:  6.5 Ambient conditions for opera­ tion]. The compressor is not intended for outdoor use. CAUTION When setting up the compressor, follow the instructions below to avoid any risk of injury or damage to the device: – Place the compressor on a firm, flat, dust­free, dry surface. A soft base such as a sofa, a bed or tablecloth is not suit­ able because the compressor might fall. – Route the power cord in such a way that it is not a tripping hazard and no one can become entangled in it. – Make sure that children cannot pull on the power cord or connection tubing and cause the compressor to fall. – Only operate the compressor in a low­dust environment. If it is operated in a very dusty environment (e.g., under the bed or in workshops), or on the floor, a larger amount of dust is likely to collect inside the housing, which may impair the quality of the treatment or damage the compressor. – Do not operate the compressor close to flammable objects such as curtains, tablecloths, or paper. – Do not operate the compressor in areas where there is a risk of explosion or in the presence of oxidising gases (e.g., oxygen, nitrous oxide, flammable anaesthetics).

    – 36 – 3.2 Preparation Check the compressor housing, the power cord and the power plug for damage every time before using. Make sure that the local supply voltage complies with the voltage data marked on the compressor identification label. Only use the compressor if all components are intact. The compressor must not be oper­ ated if the device or the power cord is damaged, or if damage is suspected (e.g., after it has fallen or if there is a smell of burning plastic). Prepare the device for an inhalation session as follows: • Assemble the nebuliser as described in the instructions for use of the nebuliser. • Attach one end of the connection tubing to the nebuliser. • Attach the other end of the con­ nection tubing to the compressor. The tube connectors can be inser­ ted more easily if they are twisted slightly when inserting. • Insert the nebuliser in the holder on the compressor inten­ ded for this purpose. • Fill the nebuliser as described in the instructions for use of the nebuliser.

    – 37 – • Connect the power cord to the power cord socket of the com­ pressor. • Plug the power plug into a suitable socket. 3.3 Performing the inhalation To avoid overheating the compressor, never place a cover over the device during operation, and ensure that the side ventila­ tion slits are not obstructed. If the compressor is covered or if the ventilation slits are blocked, the compressor cannot be cooled properly. • Before starting the treatment, pull the nebuliser out of the holder. • Start the compressor by pressing the on/off switch. • Check that an aerosol is being generated before you start with the inhalation. • Perform the inhalation as described in the instructions for use of the nebuliser.

    – 38 – 3.4 Completing the inhalation • Switch the compressor off. • Place the nebuliser back in its holder. • Disconnect the power plug from the mains socket. Complete disconnection from the mains is only certain when the power plug has been unplugged from the socket. MAINTENANCE 4.1 Cleaning the compressor • Wipe the outer surface of the housing with a clean, damp cloth. NOTICE Liquids that get into the device can cause a fault in the device. Therefore, never spray any liquids onto the com­ pressor or the power cord. If liquid does get into the compressor, the device must not be used under any circumstances. Before using the compressor again, you must contact the PARI GmbH Technical Service de­ partment or the PARI Service Center.

    – 39 – In order to clean the nebuliser, the connection tubing and the accessories, follow the notes in the respective instructions for use. 4.2 Filter change In normal operating conditions, the compressor filter must be replaced after every 200 operating hours, but at least once a year. Also please check the filter at regular intervals (after every 10 inhalations). If it is soiled (grey or brown colour) or blocked, re­ place it. The filter must also be replaced with a new one if it has become damp. The filter cannot be cleaned and then reused! NOTICE Only use air filters that are intended by PARI for use with your compressor, otherwise your compressor might be damaged or it may not be possible to ensure adequate treatment. To replace the filter, proceed as follows: • Place the enclosed filter changer (11) on the filter (7). Twist and the filter will slide out of the compressor housing without difficulty. • Position the new air filter with the hole in front and press it as far as possible against the right, cross­shaped adapter.

    – 40 – 4.3 Servicing The compressor must only be serviced by the PARI GmbH Technical Service department or a service centre expressly au­ thorised by PARI. If the compressor is opened or manipulated by anyone else, all claims under the warranty shall be void. In these cases, PARI GmbH will also accept no liability. 4.4 Storage • Disconnect the power cord from the compressor. • Wind up the power cord. NOTICE The power cord can be damaged if it is kinked. Therefore, do not wind the power cord around the compressor. Store the compressor and accessories safely out of continuous direct sunlight. Always disconnect the compressor from the mains for storage because electrical devices that remain plugged in present a po­ tential hazard source.
