Operation / features
1. Connect the charger to the mains supply.
2. Insert the SBP10/SBP12 battery into the battery compartment.
The battery must engage securely.
3. Charging status is indicated by the LED's as follows:

dure to begin.The charger is in the «wait» status. The battery does
not have to be removed from the charger. The charging proce-
dure starts and the red LED goes out when the battery reaches a
temperature within the 0°C–50°C range.

Red LED blinks or no LED lights

Charging cannot be started. Check the following points:
– Is the battery correctly engaged in the charger?
– The battery contacts must be free of dust and grease. Use a clean
cloth to clean the contacts if necessary.
– The battery compartment must be clean and free of obstructions.
Clean the battery compartment and remove obstructions.
– Contacts in the battery compartment
The contacts on the charger must be free of dust and grease.
Use a clean cloth to clean the contacts if necessary. Clean care-
fully in order to prevent damage to the contacts.
– Check that the ventilation slots are free of dirt and dust. Use a jet
of compressed air to blow out excessive dust.
– Is the mains supply voltage correct?
f, after checking these points, the charger still fails to operate cor-
rectly, it should be returned to a Hilti service centre for servicing.
Servicing and maintenance
– Do not open the unit.
– Electric appliances must comply with the applicable
safety regulations. Repairs must be carried out by a
trained electrical specialist.
– The use of original Hilti spare parts ensures optimum
safety.
Warranty
Hilti warrants that the product supplied is free of defects in mate-
rial and workmanship.This warranty is valid as long as the product
is operated and handled correctly, cleaned and serviced properly
and in accordance with the Hilti Operating Instructions, all warran-
ty claims are made within 12 months from the date of the sale (in-
voice date), and the technical system is maintained. This means
that only original Hilti consumables, components and spare parts
may be used in or with the product.
This warranty provides the free-of-charge repair or replacement
of defective parts only. Parts requiring repair or replacement as a
result of normal wear and tear are not covered by this warranty.
Additional claims are excluded, unless stringent national ru-
les prohibit such exclusion. In particular, Hilti is not obligated
for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, los-
ses or expenses in connection with, or by reason of, the use
of, or inability to use the product for any purpose. Implied war-
ranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
are specifically excluded.
The product and/or related parts should be sent tool for repair or
replacement immediately upon discovery of the defect to the ad-
dress of the local Hilti marketing organization.
This constitutes Hilti's entire obligation with regard to warranty and
supersedes all prior or contemporaneous comments and oral or
written agreements concerning warranties.
