2.1 Instructions for power safety
• This machine may be connected ONLY to sock-
ets that provide the operating voltage displayed
on the machine's identification label, and that
are grounded in accordance with all applicable
regulations.
• Do not allow the industrial vacuum cleaner to
come into contact with water, e.g. rain or other
wetness or dampness. Water that seeps in could
cause the machine to short-circuit, and damage
it irreparably. Furthermore, this poses the risk of
an electric shock for the operator.
• Do not roll the vacuum cleaner or other
machines over the power cable, since this could
cause damage to the cable's insulation.
• Do not subject the power cable to undue
strain, for example, by pulling on it to move
the machine. When disconnecting the vacuum
cleaner from the power source, pull on the plug,
not on the cable. Keep the cable away from heat,
oil and other chemicals.
• If the power cable is damaged, have it replaced
by a trained professional. Do not attempt to
use the vacuum cleaner when there are signs of
damage to the cable.
• Should you need to use an extension cable, it
must have an adequate conductor cross-section
(2.5 mm²) to prevent voltage drop or overheat-
ing.
2.2 Safety in your working environment
• Ensure that your work area is always well-lit so
as to prevent accidents.
• Make certain that there are no other people in
your working environment (children in particu-
lar) who could distract you while working with
the vacuum cleaner.
