8 – Operation
Before starting the saw up
• The saw bench must be set up on a
stable base, that is, a workbench, or
screwed down to a firm underframe.
• Before starting up all covers and safety
equipment must be correctly fitted.
• The saw blade must be able to rotate
freely.
• When working with wood which has
already been processed, be careful of
e.g. nails or screws, cracks or joints,
etc.
• Before operating the On/Off switch,
make sure that the saw blade is
correctly mounted and moving parts
can move easily.
• Before connecting up the saw bench to
the mains make sure that the data on
the rating plate match those of the
mains supply.
Starting and stopping the saw (Fig. 8)
Insert the plug into a socket with a
safety contact. This must be protected
with a fuse e.g. in the terminal box. If an
extension cable is required, please note
that with a cable length of up to 20 m a
cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm
must be used.
• To start the saw, press the green
button marked "I"
• To stop the saw press the red
button "O"

9 – Mode of operation
1. Press the workpiece carefully on to the
saw blade, using adequate pressure.
2. The maximum thickness of the material
to be cut must not exceed 40 mm.
3. To prevent the workpiece breaking or
turning, press it firmly against the saw
bench with your hands and slide it
slowly against the saw blade.
4. Use a sharp saw blade only. Never
use damaged or deformed blades.
Only saw blades recommended by
the manufacturer should be used.
5. Do not overload the saw. The saw
blade must always cut at full speed,
so feed the material to it evenly
without exerting heavy pressure.
6. When cutting very slender workpieces,
feed the workpiece to the saw with the
pushing stick (18), until the end of the
work piece enters the splitting wedge
zone (Fig. 9).
7. If possible, when cutting, use the
parallel stop (13).
8. Note that the choice of saw blade
and blade speed depend upon the
material being sawn.

9. Exercise care when cutting!
Dust extraction
This circular saw bench is fitted
with a chip ejector hole (5) and
can be connected up to a
household vacuum cleaner with a flow
rate of at least 20 m/s. Follow the
manufacturer's instructions. If
necessary, use a suitable commercially
available adapter.
