Initial setup
NOTICE!
The selected switch position will become active or start after approx. 3 seconds.

It is recommendable to move on to the next step immediately after these 3 seconds, as too
long a waiting period between steps will trigger the display of a "Wrong Initial Setup"
(page 54) fault message.
Adhere to the following steps during initial setup:

Procedure
Hard reset:
–
To vent the sensor tube,
open the SENSTUBE screw
joint on the detector box for
approx. 3 minutes and then
close it again securely.
–
Briefly open the REFERENCE
screw joint and close it again
securely.
–
Set program selection switch
to position 0.
–
Switch on the power supply
for the ADW 511A.
Carry out basic settings:
–
Turn program selection
switch to desired position (1
to 9).
Perform manual sensor tube test:
–
Set program selection switch
to position D.

Effect
The ADW performs sensor tube measurement as fol-
lows:
–
Motor starts, all three LEDs light up (red -
red - yellow); motor runs in steps.
–
After approx. 2 minutes, the motor stops
and the ALARM DIFF and ALARM MAX LEDs
go out. The POWER/FAULT LED switches to
green.
–
Proceed immediately with step 2.
Setting is activated after 3 seconds.
–
All LEDs flash once briefly.
–
This concludes the operation.
–
Proceed immediately with step 3.
Test starts after 3 seconds:
–
Motor starts, all LEDs flash; motor runs in
steps.
–
Sensor tube intact:
all LEDs go out after approx. 90 seconds
and the motor stops; proceed immediately
with step 4.
–
Sensor tube faulty:
all LEDs flash for longer than 90 sec
(approx. 3 min); the POWER/FAULT LED
then lights up yellow or flashes green and
yellow. Test is aborted; for trouble shooting,
see page 56
