Adjusting the thread regulator

The needle thread volume needed for stitch formation is regulated
with the thread regulator 2.
Only an accurately adjusted thread regulator guarantees an optimum
sewing result.
The adjustment of the thread regulator depends on the following
factors:

Stitch length
–
Fabric thickness
–
Properties of the sewing yarn used
When the adjustment is correct, the upper thread loop 6 must glide
over the hook with minor tension without excess.
Caution: danger of injury !
Switch off the main switch.
Insert the thread regulator only when the sewing machine
is switched off.

Loosen the screw 5.

Adjust the thread regulator 2.
The upright wire 3 serves as adjusting aid in combination with the
scale 4 (guide value: 2,5).

Tighten the screw 5.
