Please note the following safety advice to avoid malfunction and damage:
Please read the safety notes most carefully. Handling this unit incorrectly may
be hazardous for persons and property. Work on safety related tube/pipe
systems and pressure vessels may only be carried out by specially trained
and approved personnel.
The vacuum pump is a precision instrument and must be handled with care.
Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations and
mechanical stress. Never place the vacuum pump on hot surfaces.
Do not suck solvents, acids or other aggressive substances. Do not use the
pump to pump easily flammable or explosive substances or liquids containing
dirt particles.
Only use original accessory. While working with the vacuum pump, keep
unauthorized persons away from the work area.
Untrained persons are not allowed to use the vacuum pump.
Please note that substances such as braking fluid can damage paints.
Keep combustible substances away from ignition sources at these are easily
flammable.
Dispose off extracted liquids according to local regulations.
For lubricating the vacuum pump do not use engine oil, mineral-oil-based
liquids or spray oils. If necessary to lubricate, only use silicone oil.
Intended Use
The vacuum pump is designed for universal use without specified assignment.
The vacuum pump can be used for sucking applications and for pressure built-
ups, e. g. for vacuum controls on vacuum units, for performing container leak
tests on vacuum engines and pipes, as well as for delivering resp. draining liquids
from containers.
Almost any component or system that requires proper sealing, pressure or
vacuum to operate can be tested with the vacuum pump.
Make sure the vacuum pump is correctly assembled for the appropriate
application and used properly.
Always follow the instructions in the original manual for the used system.
Vacuum
Vacuum is an empty space. The power of vacuum devices is not created by the
vacuum but it depends on the presence of atmospheric pressure. At sea level the
atmosphere exerts a pressure of 1.013 bars on everything.
