b) The bass boost switch of the amplifier

The amplifier has a bass boost switch for the rear channels which amplifies the low bass frequencies in two levels.
This option is especially useful to give smaller bass loudspeakers or subwoofers a little more volume in the low-bass
range.
The SUPER BASS switch (4) controls low bass amplification:
"0" position
Low bass amplification deactivated.
"6" position
Low bass is amplified by 6dB
"12" position
Low bass is amplified by 12dB
c) First operation
After connecting and rechecking the cabling, you can start the Raveland Power Package XAB 5000.
If you have checked the cable connections, reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
Turn the REAR GAIN (5) and FRONT GAIN (9) controls anti clockwise to minimum.
Push the frequency control REAR (2) into the LPF position and set the REAR LPF (3) control to the middle,
approximately. The required low-pass filter for the subwoofer is set with this.
Push the frequency control FRONT (2) into the HPF position and set the FRONT HPF (3) control to the middle,
approximately. The required high-pass filter for the satellite loudspeaker is set with this.
Switch on your car radio. The indicator LED POWER (12) lights up. If the PROTECTION (13) indicator lights up,
an error has occurred. The amplifier has to be switched off immediately. In such a case, check all connections
and the loudspeakers. If you cannot detect an error, please consult a specialist.
If the POWER (12) indicator lights up, set the volume of the car radio to about 75% of the maximum volume.
Now adjust the maximum volume of the satellite loudspeakers with the FRONT GAIN (9) control to a level
acceptable for you. If you use several amplifiers, adjust the volumes of the various amplifiers to one another.
Please keep in mind that the maximum volume depends on the power capacity of the loudspeakers and amplifier.
Excessive volume can damage the loudspeakers and amplifier. Overloading can easily be heard through
distortion.
