Basic Safety Precautions
CAUTION
Danger caused by damages of the unit
Moving the unit with inserted DVD/CD may cause damages to laser
or DVD/CD.

Do not move the unit during operation.
►
Remove a DVD/CD before moving the unit.
For safe operation of the device, observe the following safety precau-
tions:

Before use, check the device for visible damage. Do not use a dam-
aged device or if it has been dropped.
■
Have damaged cords or connectors replaced by an authorized
person or the customer service.
■
Persons not with reduced physical, mental or sensory capabilities
may not operate the device unless they are given supervision or
instruction by a person responsible for their safety.
■
Children may only operate the device when supervised.
■
Have repairs done only by an authorized expert or customer service.
Improper repairs can cause considerable dangers for the user.
Moreover, the warranty will be void.

Repairs during the warranty period may only be done by a customer
service authorized by the manufacturer. Otherwise, consecutive
damages will not be covered by the warranty.
■
Defective components must be replaced with genuine parts. Only
these parts guarantee conformity with the safety requirements.
■
Protect the device from moist and ingress of fluids.
■
Always pull the plug when disconnecting the power cord, do not
pull the cable.
■
Do not carry the device by the power cord.
■
Do not let the power cord hang down for danger of tearing the
device down by the cord.
■
Avoid direct sunlight.
■
Do not operate the unit in close proximity to heat or open flames.
■
In case of malfunction and during thunderstorms, disconnect the
plug from the mains.
