3. Operation
For torques, see "5. Accessories" and
"6. Spare parts" from page 16.
Fitting the precision boring tool
Depending on the required diameter, the
precision boring tool
serrated tool bodies or serrated slides. For
this purpose, use the associated clamping
;
elements
(page 19). Please note: the long
side of the clamping bolt
mounted turned away from the cutting
edge, with the flat part pointing in the
direction of the screwhead

provide a perfect fit for the insert holder
Reverse machining can be
carried out by turning the
insert holder through 180°
(Note: counter-clockwise
rotation!).
Setting the machining diameter
An adjusting device or gauge is needed to
set the machining diameter. Carry out a
rough preset with a cap screw
loosely screwed in by sliding the precision
boring tool onto the serrated part of the
serrated tool body (KZK) or the Alu-Line
serrated slide (KZS) with the aid of a
threaded pin, if available.

follows:

1. Slacken the cap screw

2. Set the cutting edge by turning the scale

to the diameter. A clockwise rotation
produces an increase in diameter.
- Traverse measurement:
1.5 mm (.063") (radial)
- 1 rotation of the scale:
0.2 mm in Ø (.01" in Ø)
- One division on the scale:
0.01 mm in Ø (.0005" in Ø)
=
.
2.1 Increasing the diameter:
Reset the scale to the value required
(clockwise rotation).
2.2 Reducing the diameter:
Check the value set on the tool (fig.
a, example: scale reading 5). Turn
the scale back by half a rotation,
counter-clockwise rotation (fig. b).
Set new value, clockwise rotation
(fig. c, example: scale reading 2)
3. Tighten the cap screw.
