L'ouverture du boîtier et le démontage de pièces risquent de
mettre à nu des pièces sous tension.
Avant tout entretien ou réparation, il convient donc de débrancher
l´appareil de toutes les sources de tension.
Les condensateurs montés dans l'appareil peuvent être encore
chargés même après avoir déconnecté l'appareil de toutes les
sources de tension.
Ne remplacez jamais vous-même les câbles de secteur endom-
magés. Dans ce cas, débranchez l´appareil du réseau et apportez-
le dans un atelier spécialisé.
Les réparations doivent uniquement être effectuées par un techni-
cien qualifié familiarisé avec les dangers potentiels encourus, res-
pectivement les prescriptions spécifiques en vigueur.
Si un remplacement des fusibles s'avère nécessaire, veillez à n'utiliser que des
fusibles du type et au courant nominal spécifiés (voir « Caractéristiques techniques »)
à titre de rechange.
Il est interdit de réparer les fusibles usés ou de ponter le porte-
fusible.
• Après avoir coupé l'alimentation en courant (retirez la fiche de la prise de courant!),
dévissez prudemment le capuchon du porte-fusible (14) contenant le fusible
défectueux à l'aide d'un tournevis approprié.
• Retirez le fusible défectueux et remplacez-le par un fusible neuf du même type.
• Revissez avec précaution le capuchon du porte-fusible contenant le nouveau
fusible dans le porte-fusible (14).
• Vous pouvez ensuite rebrancher l'appareil sur le secteur et le mettre en marche.
Elimination des éléments usés
Procédez à l'élimination du produit au terme de sa durée de vie confor-
mément aux
dispositions légales en vigueur.
Dépannage
Avec l´amplificateur de puissance Fidek, vous avez acquis un produit à la pointe du
développement technique et bénéficiant d'une grande sécurité de fonctionnement.
Il est toutefois possible que des problèmes ou des pannes surviennent.

Function Description

The power amplifier is a 2-canal amplifier. It features symmetrical inputs with XLR
and 6.3 mm jack plugs. The jack plugs may be accessed both symmetrical as well as
asymmetrical. The input sensitivity can be adapted to the audio source with a switch.
A pair of loudspeakers with a minimum impedance of 4 Ohm may be connected to
the loudspeaker outputs with SPEAKON jacks and screw terminals.
The power amplifier may also be operated as a mono amplifier in bridge operation.
This mode of operation provides a much higher output power but only for one chan-
nel. The minimum impedance with this type of operation is 8 Ohm.
A cut-in delay first connects the loudspeakers with the loudspeaker output when all
condensers in the appliance are loaded. This prevents the crackling of the loud-
speakers at the moment the appliance is turned on.
The protection circuit reacts to short circuits and DC voltage at the output and pre-
vents overheating. A built-in limiter protects the power amplifier from overload.
The limiter can be switched off with the channels separated.
The built-in ventilators are temperature-controlled and keep the working temperature
at an acceptable limit even with high strain.
In order to prevent earth loops and humming, the earth of the power amplifier can be
disconnected from the grounding of the housing with the Ground Lift switch.
You can check the operating status of the appliance on different LED displays on the
front of the appliance.

Commissioning

In order to ensure proper commissioning, carefully read this oper-
ating manual with the safety notices!
Prior to connecting the power amplifier, turn it off along with all
other appliances you want to connect to it and separate them
from the power supply.
Proceed accordingly when changing the wiring.
