Even though the tip of your CV 40 Plus's telescopic antenna is not
sharp pointed, there is a possible risk of injury if the walkie-talkie is
handled carelessly.
Use in vehicles
The CV 40 Plus's high transmitting power may interfere with vehicle
electronic components. Only use the walkie-talkie in vehicles if the
traffic situation permits safe use. Make sure that the walkie-talkie is
not left lying in the car.
Cleaning and Maintenance
• Check the state of the batteries from time to time. Do not leave
spent batteries in the battery compartment, otherwise they may
leak and damage the device. Always replace the entire set of bat-
teries.
• Do not open the device (except the battery compartment). Unau-
thorised repair or adjustment is prohibited because any such
modification or adjustment may invalidate the operating licence,
claims under the warranty and entitlement to repair. Do not use
the device if it is faulty.
• Use a soft, lint-free antistatic cleaning cloth to clean the outside
of the device. Do not use cleaning materials that are abrasive or
contain solvents under any circumstances.
Care and Maintenance
Here are a few tips on how to treat your walkie-talkie to make sure
you obtain maximum long-term benefit from using it:
• Never switch on your CV-40 walkie-talkie immediately after it has
been moved from a cold into a warm room. The condensation

Dans les installations industrielles, il convient d'observer les
consignes de prévention des accidents, éditées par les syndicats
professionnels pour les installations et équipements électriques.
Dans les écoles, les centres de formation, les ateliers de loisirs et de
bricolage, le maniement des appareils radioélectriques doit être sur-
veillé par du personnel responsable, spécialement formé à cet effet.
L'appareil n'est pas protégé contre les projections d'eau. Il ne peut
donc être utilisé à l'air libre que si les conditions météorologiques
s'y prêtent.
