material damage or bodily injury caused by mishandling or failure
to observe the safety instructions. In these cases, no warranty

Door opener
An electromagnetic door opener can be connected via the indoor
unit to the CAB doorphone set. The CAB doorphone set supplies
this with voltage. Please observe the technical data.
Installation
If in any doubt, rather than mounting, connecting or installing the
equipment yourself, contact a qualifi ed technician.
The outdoor unit is designed for surface mounting. When deciding
where to install the outdoor unit, ensure, wherever possible, that
you choose a position that is well shielded from the elements,
particularly rain. Remove the cover (B4) and undo the screws as
shown in Fig. F. Carefully remove the cover (B3) to write on the
nameplate. Connect up the doorphone set as shown in Fig. I.
Install the outdoor unit as shown in Fig. G and fi t the seal so that
the open ends face downwards.
Install the indoor unit as shown in Fig. H. Screw in the screws,
leaving the screw heads sticking out of the wall by about 5 mm.
Carefully hang the indoor unit on the screws using the unit's
fastening eyes and push it downwards.
Activation/Operation
Connect the power pack plug (E1) to the socket (C7).
Alternatively, you can use an external power supply (not supplied)
and connect it to terminals 1 and 2 (Fig. C).
Do not exceed the maximum permissible DC voltage of 12 V. Once
the nameplate (B3) on the outdoor unit lights up, the system is
ready for use. When the ringer switch (B3) is pressed, the indoor
unit will ring. You can now simply lift the receiver and start talking.
Press the open door button (A3) to activate the (optional) door
opener. Simply hang up the receiver to stop the connection.
EC compliance information
Using the device near electromagnetic high frequency fi elds
such as radio systems, microwaves or mobile phones, or high
electrostatic discharge, can interfere with device operation.
Should you encounter problems, switch the power supply off and
on again to restore operation.
Recycling instructions
This device may not be disposed of with unsorted
household waste. Owners of old devices are required by
law to dispose of this device correctly. Contact your town
