E-3 Operating your nasal aspirator
Dry and very thick mucus inside the nose may be dissolved by saline solution. Nasal washer is
recommended to be used before using nasal aspirator to help remove nasal mucus and secretions.
1. Turn the power switch to the "Nasal Aspirator" (=) position.
2. Place your index finger over the opening on the nasal aspirator to activate the aspiration.
3. Adjust the level of vacuum turning vacuum regulator, and check that the unit makes the vacuum
without any leakage and this level varies when the vacuum regulator is acted on.
Note: Turn the vacuum regulator clockwise, in the "+" direction, to obtain a higher vacuum; or
anti-clockwise for a lower vacuum.
4. Insert the silicone tip into one of the nostrils gently. Use the aspirator for 3 seconds for 4 times
per nostril.
Caution:
• Before using the nasal aspirator, try it on the hand to see if the aspiration works.
• The nasal aspirator is applicable to baby. Keep your baby in a comfortable position and make
sure that his/her head is lifted.
• While using, keep the aspirator in the uprigh t position with the finger opening on top, and the
collection chamber should be emptied when the stem inside the unit is overfilled with sucked
mucus. This prevents the mucus from entering the suction pump.
• Do not tilt or place the nasal aspirator on the table before turning off the device.
F
Cleaning procedures
Observe the rules below when cleaning or disinfecting parts. Failure to observe these rules may
result in damage, inefficient nebulization or aspiration or infection.
Before use or after each treatment, the manufacturer advises you to clean and/or disinfect the
unit. Make sure the power switch of the nebulizer has been turned to the "OFF" (O) position and
the unit has been disconnected from the power source before any cleaning procedures.
Disconnect the air tube from both nebulizer kit/nasal washer/nasal aspirator and nebulizer device
after each use and disassemble the parts of the unit described as below.
F-1 Nebulizer kit
1. Gently twist and pull up the cover of the nebulizer kit to open and separate.
2. Always dispose of any remaining medication in the medication cup after each use.
F-2 Nasal washer
1. Detach nasal adaptor, top cover, separator and nozzle from the unit.
2. Dispose of the solutions in the return fluid collection chamber after each use.
F-3 Nasal aspirator
1. Detach the silicone tip with tube, top cover and filter from the unit.
2. Dispose of the mucus in the collection chamber after each use.

Sanitization
Sanitize and rinse each part with clean, warm water (about 40°C) with gentle dishwashing liquid
(non-abrasive). After cleaning, leave the parts to dry in an open, clean environment.
Disinfection
The accessories which can be disinfected are nebulizer kit, mouthpiece, nasal washer and nasal
aspirator. You can choose one of the methods described below.
Method A: wash with a commercial (bacterial-germicidal) disinfectant and follow the instructions
and dilution rates supplied by the disinfectant manufacturer carefully.
Method B: boil each of the parts in water for 15~20 minutes, it is preferable to use de-mineralized
or distilled water to prevent calcium deposits.
It is effective on the parts that undergo this treatment only if the parts to be treated have previously
been sanitized. After cleaning, leave the parts to dry in an open, clean environment.
Note:
• For the first time cleaning or after the unit has been stored for an extended period of time,
thoroughly clean all components, except the air tube. The nebulizer kit is dishwasher safe.
• Adult and Child mask can only be washed at <40°C(104°F)
• Never clean with benzene, thinner or a flammable chemical.
• After washing with the commercial disinfectant, please rinse with clean warm water and dry
thoroughly before using.
Cleaning the compressor
Wipe the compressor daily using a soft cloth.
NOTE: Any other form of cleaning or cleaning agents may damage the finish of the unit.
G
Changing the air filter <Nebulizer device>
It is important to change the air filter approximately when the air filter turns gray. It is recommended
to change air filter every 2 months.
1. Remove the air filter cover by gently pulling forward.
2. Discard the gray filter.
3. Replace with a new, clean air filter.
4. Securely re-attach the air filter cover to the unit.
G
Note:
• Air filters cannot be cleaned or washed.
• Only NK1000 air filters can be used. Do not substitute alternate material such as cotton.
• Do not operate without an air filter.
• Do not expose air filter to direct sunlight, or the performance is impaired due to aging phenomenon.
• Check that the air filters are clean and free of dust before inserting them.
Changing the filter <Nasal aspirator>
The filter supplied with Rossmax nasal aspirator is recommended to be replaced for each new user,
or if overflow occurs or the filter is saturated. It should also be replaced if the unit is used with
different person whose risk of contamination is unknown.
Note:
• The filter cannot be washed, sanitized, disinfected, or sterilized.
• Do not use the nasal aspirator without the filter, the suction pump could be damaged. From a
bacteriological point of view, it becomes dangerous for the users.
• Do not substitute this filter with any other material. Substitution may lead to contamination or
poor performance; use only Rossmax filter.
Removing condensation from the air tube
Follow the below procedures if there is moisture or medication remaining in the air tube used on
nebulizer kit/nasal washer.
1. Make sure that the air tube is connected to the air outlet on the compressor.
2. Remove the air tube from the nebulizer kit or nasal washer.
3. Switch on the device and pump air through the air tube to expel the moisture.

Portable and mobile RF communica-
tions equipment should be used no
closer to any part of the NK1000 includ-
ing cables, than the recommended
separation distance calculated from the
equation applicable to the frequency of
the transmitter.
Recommended separation distance:
d = 1,2 √P, d = 1,2 √P 80MHz to 800 MHz,
d = 2,3 √P 800MHz to 2,7 GHz
Where P is the maximum output power
rating of the transmitter in watts (W)
according to the transmitter manufac-
turer and d is the recommended sepa-
ration distance in metres (m).
