1. There is a difference depending on whether the chimney is installed next to a flammable wall or a non-
flammable wall. The chimney can be aligned with the wall if the wall is made of a non-flammable material.
However, it is recommended that you leave at least 5 cm to allow air to circulate around the fireplace. The
minimum distance from combustible materials is shown on the previous page.
2. The non-flammable protective floor must be able to support the weight of the stove and the flue pipe
mounted on top, and at the same time the embers that fall when the stove door is open must not affect the
surrounding combustible materials, so the protective floor must be made of non-flammable materials, for
example. The protective floor must therefore be made of non-combustible materials, such as steel panels,
glass panels, stone or tiled floors. The dimensions of the non-combustible protective floor must comply with
current national and regional regulations.
1.3 Smoke pipe installation requirements
Notes
1. Always make sure there is enough fresh air inside.
2. When the house exhaust fan is running, it reduces the negative ventilation pressure generated by
the chimney. Reducing the ventilation vacuum does not help the combustion characteristics of the
stove and fireplace. Opening the stove door may result in insufficient ventilation in the stove and smoke
entering the room. As a result, the house's extractor fan must stop working when the chimney is in
operation.
3. The diameter of the flue pipe must not be less than 150 mm. If a damper is installed in the flue, there
must always be a ventilation channel of at least 20 cm², even if the damper is in the 'closed' position.
4. Two stoves cannot share the same flue pipe.
5. When connecting the stove to the chimney, insert the flue pipe into the chimney and attach it to the
opening in the chimney. The flue pipe must not pass through the chimney opening itself and must be
flush with the inside of the flue pipe. As shown in Figure 4, the connection between the masonry and the
flue pipe must be sealed using fireproof materials or slats.
