Back pressure regulators UV 7.5
» Allow valve to cool down.
» Decontaminate the valve.
Procedure
1. Loosen connections.
2. Remove the valve from the pipe.
12.2 Decommissioning
DANGER
Bursting hazard and risk of material damage
When the operating medium is enclosed in the piping and valve and simultaneous heating
takes place, unexpected pressure rise beyond acceptable levels may result.
Do not enclose any operating medium. Avoid heating of enclosed operating medium.
DANGER
Danger from pressurized medium streaming out
Assembly work on system parts that are under pressure may lead to serious injuries.
Work on the valve must only be carried out on pressure-free pipes, and pressure
applications must be excluded during the work! In cases of maintenance, installation and
removal, the piping must be emptied. Before starting work, perform a pressure
compensation. Wear personal protective equipment, protective gloves, safety eyewear and
hearing protection.
NOTICE
Assembly and disassembly should be performed by two persons.
Preparation
The valve is in operation, pressurized, filled with fluid, set to an outlet pressure and self-acting.
Procedure
1. Slowly close upstream-sided shut-off device.
2. Slowly close downstream-sided shut-off device.
3. Depressurize the pressure regulator.
4. Relieve pressure in the inlet pressure area and in the outlet pressure area via safe opening devices.
5. Check falling pressures via the on-site pressure indicators.
6. Drain the fluid on the upstream and downstream side via safe draining devices.
7. If the valve is taken out of operation or removed for a period of longer than 1 month, completely release the
tension from the spring module. To do this, turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise until no more
resistance can be felt from the spring module.
