3.1
RS-232-C Interfaces
The ViscoPump III module has three RS-232 C interfaces.
The interfaces on the internal data bus (96-chan-nel VG bar) are used for communication with the
re-spective controller unit or computer. The interface on the front panel serves to connect optional
devices such as thermostats etc. The connected are treated as sub-devices of the ViscoPump III module.
3.2
Interface configuration
The interface parameters cannot be changed. All transmission parameters are firmly set to the following
values:

Data bits:
Changes to the transmission parameters of the RS-232-C interface are only possible on a software basis.
Setting is done through the program being used or through the software of the controlling device. Please
refer to the operat-ing in-structions of the respective device or program being used for a description on
how to make the required settings. The parameter settings of the connected peripherals must be
identical, otherwise communication via this interface will be impossible.
All other devices to be connected must have the same parameter settings.
The other possible settings include:
