Important note: The polishing object must be dry before being dipped into the bath tank.
Attach polishing object to the copper hook (which is delivered with the electrolyte) and dip
object by means of this hook into the bath.
The object must not have any contact to the copper sheet metal to avoid a short circuit. In
case of a short circuit the overload protection fuse (1) will switch off. Remove cause of
short circuit and switch on again the overload protection fuse (1).
-
Switch on device. Mains switch (2) on position „I".

Guide value for first trials „2.0", otherwise see table point 4., set-points.

The time control will interrupt automatically the polishing current after set time has
elapsed.
-
Switch off device. Mains swich (2) on position „0".

Now you can take polishing object out of bath tank. Clean thoroughly under running water
and dry carefully.
Important note:
Please make always sure that the polishing object is only placed into the bath tank when polishing
unit is switched off. Contacts must be clean. Polishing object should possibly hang in the middle of
the bath tank. The polishing objects must be free from moisture. Any objects with an oxidised
surface must be thoroughly cleaned with a sand blaster before polishing.
4.
Set-points
The required polishing time depends on the condition of the object' s surface, the used alloy and
the electrolyte' s temperature.
Usually the polishing time takes 10 to 15 min.
Should the object not be polished sufficiently after elapsed time, repeat process. In case of very
high requirements as to the fitting of prosthetic appliances - such as it is for instance a requirement
for telescopic crowns - reduce processing time.
Switch (4) does not directly set amperage but a current set-point.
The actual current depends on the condition of the polishing object as well as of the temperature of
the elektrolyte and its quality (state of exhaustion).
Therefore, you should establish through experiments the set-points of switch (4) for the various
types of objects and conditions.
As you can see from the following table, the scale of switch (4) shows the current set-points which
usually show with a medium-sized plate. The corresponding current with a totale plate are
compared to each other:
